It was a resounding victory. No controversy over who won this one. The only controversy was how close the judges had it. It was very one-sided RBR. All 3 DAZN commentators were shocked 2 judges had it 115-113. Just goes to show how favorable to GGG, not Canelo, those judges were. This fight proved that.

The first person I heard call it him was Jose one of the many Mexican fighters & trainers in the gyms here. Plenty of fighters have Vacated a belt for different reasons. Vacating belts has more to do with promoters and boxing politics than Fighter's FIGHTING. You contiune to harp on the fact that Canelo vacated a belt, a belt that he challenged for at a catchweight by the way, because Cotto was defending the title at a catchweight. Cotto refused to pay the sanctioning fees which was essnetially him vacating the belt, yet I don't hear a peep out of you for that. He was being asked to do something that the previous Champ (Cotto) wasn't doing, at a weight he had never fought at before. Canelo was being asked to fight GGG in his first fight at the MW limit. How many fighters move up a weight class and fight the best fighter at the new weight as their first fight? Canelo was being asked to do something that no one else would be expected to do. And you always leave out the fact that after vacating the belt, he challenged for the belt properly at the full limit the very next year. Give it a rest CJ. Canelo is a FIGHTER, unlike Floyd the sissy. He fought GGG "Mexican Style" in the rematch CJ. He turned GGG into a backing away jabber. He took the fight to GGG and beat him. If you remember after Canelo KO'd Khan GGG came in the ring & challenged him. Canelo went beserk he said " Us Mexicans don't run we fight C'mon put my gloves back on I'll fight you now at 160" LOL But then the WBC ordered him to defend against GGG his #1 contender. Canelo had won the title fight with Cotto at catchweight 155 limit not 160. He claimed he wasn't a 160 fighter though he claimed to be WBC world Middleweight champ L & meekly handed it back. Jose said " He's right us Mexicans always fight, thing is he cannot be Mexican then can he " lol
