    I thought this recently too.

If Giardello had got a shot when he was first ranked. Let me ponder it and I'll be back.

Joey would probably get put to sleep.

How does this fight transfer to reality ? Ray Robinson in his prime was a Welterweight
while Giardello was a middleweight.. But the Welterweight Robinson who won a close Decision over Georgie Abrams, and demolished a great punching 158lb Steve Belloise
in 1947,would have beat Joey Giardello, pime to prime. IMO.
P.S. I believe the underated Georgie Abrams who drew with Charley Burley, and gave
Marcel Cerdan a really tough fight [which I attended },would have decisioned Giardello
    both at their best...

I think it will see be a hard fight for Robinson, just because Robinson lost to Giardello past prime in the fashion he did, does not mean in prime, he have a easy time with Joey.

burt this transfers into reality because even as a welterweight srr was fighting and beating some of the best middles around.so now how do you see it?
