Well yeah, if he landed exactly the same punch, the effect would be exactly the same.

    Logically.

    what ifs are lame.

It is very possible that Gerald would've stopped Calzaghe, but Calzaghe has shown remarkable recuperative ability throughout his career, I would have to say he gets up and puts on a clinic whenever the Gerald storm is over.

Calzaghe really had great adaptability and resolve, I don't see Gerald beating him if he does not catch him cold within the first four or five rounds.

I don't know if he was "easy" to hit, he was better than Gerald defensively, of that there is little doubt.

defensively Gerald stopped boxing after the jackson fights and relied on power he used he reach and had very good timing. he was the only fighter that i think might have caused a upset against RJJ.(highly doubtful)

and no way Joe would have gotten up from a Gman right hand like that... He would have been out cold... BUT , you're assuming Gman could land a clean straight right on Calzaghe, he is not as sneaky as Hopkins and its hard to assume that Calzaghe would walk right into a straight right.

He beat RJJ as an amateur.

But yeah, Gerald gets way overrated around here. He was an early round storm, but he had big holes defensively and I would favour RJJ and Calzaghe both over him.

y he has walked in to them all his boxing life. Gerald had very good timing and he would have landed a Hugh right hand sometime in the fight.
