Haha. Let's nail this down: in May 2015, if GGG (34 & 1/2) gets past Lemiuex and doesn't have the option of fighting Canelo/Cotto, fights Andre Ward (31) how many rounds would he win if the fight was made at 168?
A bold vision and one that you will be able to get fantastical odds for! Personally, I think if career domestic level Middleweight Martin Murray made it to the 11th and was stopped on his feet, Ward may do better ...
Obviously you meant "May 2016," right? Not that it matters, but you're failing with their ages. Ward turns 32 in Feb 2016, Golovkin turns 34 in April 2016.
Ward the most Boring Fighter on the Planet...and Golovkin one of the most exciting.....can not see Ward holding and Head Butting GGG for 12 rounds....Ward also has not got the Power to stop Golovkin so Ward would have his hands full trying these tactics for the entire fight.!!!
Doh! I did, but I think we are getting bogged down with the unalterables. Ward is younger than GGG - it will never change. Let's leave it at that. How many rounds does GGG win? I think one or two - at best - and it's a fight he should avoid (face Lee, Lemiuex, Quillen, Eubank Jnr etc)
