He wouldnt get much credit because:
    He beat a jmw doe
    Canelo overrated doe
GGG was a 5-1 favorite doe
    Floyd waxed Canelo doe
    Lara beat Canelo doe

    You heard it here first

Nearly everyone who's anyone in boxing believes that GGG beats Canelo. This is why I'm NOT that excited about this potential match up.

GGG doesn't get tested until he moves up to 168

I personally would give credit but most of what your saying is being said by GGGs fans about Canelo. So as a Canelo fan my question is if he sucks to all you, how much credit do you want/should you actually get?

As a Canelo fan myself if GGG beats Canelo he would finally have a big name on his resume. As far as a true challenge, there are other boxers out there where Golovkin would be either an underdog or slight favorite. GGG would be an underdog vs Ward. GGG would be a tight favorite vs Degale.

And if Canelo Alverez successfully defends his Lineal Middleweight title against Golovkin ... and in the process unifies the WBC, WBA and IBF belts ...

Is Canelo the biggest fighter in the sport of boxing at the age 25?

Is he a sure bet Hall of Famer at 25?

The only guys to hold the RING (Lineal) Junior Middleweight and RING (Lineal) Middleweight titles were Sugar Ray Leonard, Nino Benvenuti, and Canelo.

    So he's arguably well on his way now;

Would a unification win over Golovkin seal the deal at 25?

Absolutely. By beating Genna it would be Canelos biggest win. Beating a P4P no 3 says alot

You can tear down any win if you try hard enough. Canelo has his flaws but it would be a very solid win.

If Canelo wins, fairly and not by a robbery as is his usual way, I will proclaim him p4p #1 and an all time great.

Agree. I expect Golovkin to win but Canelo will make it a hard fight, maybe his hardest to date. Despite the flak he gets for his 155 antics, Canelo is not a pushover by any means.

I feel sorry for Barcham ^

He posts the truth day in and day out, and the Bumlovkins continue to peddle hate like a cluster of bots. Seriously, whatever. Golovkin's record speaks for itself, and years from now he will be remembered and their posts will have swilled down the toilet.
