You've made some good points, but fights a very hard to make. The Canelo fiasco proves that.

If GG fights in September against a less than stellar opponent, it will be very frustrating, especially as like you've noted, he's now 34. But remember one thing if that happens: It's Canelo who's responsible for GG having to find a new opponent.

I'd be surprised if Saunders or Jacobs fight him this year.

Lara or Eubank would be great in my opinion.

DeGale is just a fantasy at this stage. Look from both of their perspectives. Neither would want to fight each at this specific moment in time. They are both looking to obtain all of the belts in their respected divisions.

If MW was terribly weak and SMW was very strong, then I'd be the first one to demand that he moved up. But that's simply not the case.

 

Andre Dirrell is a great talent, but I don't think he's the fighter that he was a few years ago.

No, GG would have no desire to fight at him at this stage, in the same way that DeGale wouldn't want to fight GG at this stage.

I'm sure that GG will move up to SMW at some point after he's accomplished his goals at MW. And if when he gets there that Andre Dirrell is a champ, then I don't see why he wouldn't fight him.
