Lots of good fights at 160 lbs. I'd rather he not fight Lara. Lara isn't competitive. Korobov, Khurtsidze, Lee, Quillin, Saunders, Jacobs, Magomedov, Heiland, and Eubank Jr. would all be acceptable.
I'd prefer Lara over Heiland, Magomedov, and Korobov, honestly. The others are fighters I've deemed acceptable in numerous threads as well.
You are still Post4Post the worst poster on this forum!! P4P worst HOF club worthy no doubt , keep at it you might be ATG once your carrer is over.
I'm happy for him to clean up at MW. If DeGale beats Jack that is a natural fight to make, especially if Golovkin has beaten Jacobs by that point. Lineal champ v lineal champ.
I'd prefer Lara over the first two too, but think Korobov is as good as Lara. I think that fight could be a little dangerous, if Korobov can avoid getting hit cleanly by GGG's big shots he has the skills to give GGG the toughest fight of his career imo.
Why? Lara is utterly horrible. Dude got wrecked by Angulo. He wouldn't be competitive against Golovkin. If people think middleweight is weak, SMW is probably even weaker. 1. Lara 2. Jermall Charlo 3. Jermell Charlo 4. Andrade 5. Trout 6. Soro 7. Williams 8. Liam Smith 9. Martirosyan 10. Ishe Smith vs. 1. Golovkin 2. Saunders 3. Jacobs 4. Lemieux 5. Lee 6. Quillin 7. N'Dam 8. Heiland 9. Eubank Jr. 10. Khurtsidze Korobov is awesome on the inside. The dude is an amateur legend. He'd definitely beat Lara at 160 lbs.
Lara had some rough moments and I even had Angulo winning the fight at the time if the stoppage, but Lara pulled through and caused Angulo to turn his back and quit. Lara also arguably beat the lineal MW Champion of the world Canelo. I had that fight a draw personally. He got Robbed against PWill, he whooped Trout, beat Smith, Vanes. It's a classic matchup of styles, the superb boxer vs the power puncher. I would favor GGG to win, but it won't be easy and besides he's one of the few calling for a fight with GGG at 160, so why not? It's highly demanded by a lot of fans, so if I was GGG I'd take a Voluntary defense and try to make a fight with Lara. It makes a lot of sense and would go a long way in gaining respect from his critics, myself included.
You know it's funny, people always point to Pacquaio beating Floyd's common opponents in more impressive fashion, so let's see what GGG CAN do against Canelo's common opponent Lara.:deal Make it happen!!!:good
No one is demanding Golovkin/Lara. Look up Twitter at all the media calling Lara/Martirosyan: II boring. The fight people are actually demanding is Golovkin/Canela, but we all know what Canela did. And no, being practically on the other side of the ring away from punching distance is not a superb boxer. :nono Lara is an okay fighter in a terrible division. You'd also be right about the Pacquiao/Mayweather comparison if either Lara or Canela were as good. Look at it this way, Lara, the number 1, wouldn't even beat a prospect like Derevyanchenko.
Everyone I talk to want to see it man, **** I want to see it! And if you can't see that Lara is very skilled, I don't know what to tell you.:conf
Who is Lara? Who is this Lara? He's the most boring farce in 'boxing' today. He tiresomely runs because he just can't fight. I refuse to watch Maritsoryan-Lara 2 because Lara is a FARCE. He doesn't deserve a payday. He should turn to 1500m Olympics.
Bernard Hopkins has a long string of wins against guys even worse than Golovkin's opponents at Middleweight and becomes recognised as an ATG Middle, nobody says a thing. Golovkin is fighting better but not great opposition (because there isn't any), people are up in arms. The double standards here.
Taylor, and Jones trumps GGG'S whole resume as far as fighters fought. And you didn't specify being a champion and having a better resume of contenders, you just said MWS fought.
