If Golovkin picks Derevyanchenko, people would say he was swerving <insert name>

Maybe they would. But Derevyanchenko is still a much better fight than all of the ones that Team GGG have proposed as opponents, and I think even haters would agree. A green junior middleweight, an average middleweight who should be nowhere near a title shot, and then today an inactive junior middle have been put forward as fights they want.
It ain’t Golovkin’s fault Canelo pulled out, but if he swerved a mandatory to fight someone on the level of Spike or Mangulia then how exactly is GGG any better than Sturm or the champs that took **** fights instead of him early on in his career?

?? C'mon Eubanks is trash, Charlo is a better test than Eubanks & at least he would sign the contract & not run...

GTFO moron. People aren't hating on the Spike fight because it's Golovkin. People are hating because Spike is ****ing garbage. Losses don't give resumes more depth. If that's the case then Darnell Boone is the greatest of all time.

Nobody would complain, this is a strawman argument at best and fanboyism at its finest. At this point it would at least generate some interest. Though I would prefer Charlo, he could get next. ggg needs to get out of his comfort zone.

    Who's resume has more depth?

Timothy Bradley (with his lone losses to Pacquiao) or Spence (undefeated)?

Or how about Adrien Broner (losses to Mikey, Maidana, and Porter) or Regis Prograis (undefeated)?

Dev's resume is about as stacked as Prograis's. And he's just as unproven. Spike, I'm sure, is a bum, but his resume has more depth because it contains Saunders and Eubanks.

I'm simply destroying Ellerbe's claim that losses can't add depth to a resume.

Furthermore, how many people were calling for a Golovkin-Dev showdown before???

I don't have a problem with people saying they prefer Dev because I do as well (after Saunders and Charlo).

I have a problem w/ idiots trying to suggest Golovkin is ducking Dev.

So Darnell Boone has the more depth than any boxer out there right now. Also are you dumb? Bradley's resume has more depth because of his compilation of wins. Marquez, prime Alexander, Ruslan, Peterson, etc. As for Broner, he also has better overall wins. Absolutely garbage comparisons.

And what signature win does Dev hold over Spike that cements him as a much greater fighter, idiot? Would Dev have beaten BJS or Eubanks for a fact?

His win over Tureano Johnson trumps anything Spike has done. Your comparisons are just ******ed.

If you read it carefully the comparison is actually Timothy Bradley Jr vs Errol Spence Jr ... not Spike.

Eubanks and Saunders are both far superior and way more well known than Johnson. As such, Spike's resume has more depth than Dev's. You can't win this, so just leave the thread with your tail between your legs like you somehow missed my response, kay?
