If it's either: Sergi D, Andrade or Charlo then I don't think anyone will moan. They might say they preferred X but they will be happy with either of those 3.

It depends on the circumstances doesn't it. If he dropped the title so he could fight Spike then it is clearly a duck, if he dropped the title so he could fight Saunders or Canelo then it isn't a duck.

Liam Smith was a lesser fight, terrible to be honest compared to Golovkin, a fight everybody wanted to see.

I'm just clarifying what's a duck and what's not, for my own benefit, maybe I'll argue less if I understand.

 

Well Canelo fought Golovkin so that can't possibly be a duck because the two fought. Had he never faced Golovkin whilst competing at MW then of course he'd have ducked him.
