Not sure if you are asking me. I think that GGG team realized that Ward is a stylistic nightmare also being the bigger man. They had a plan how to build him up as a superstar and getting pushed around and headbutted to death was not going to help them realize it. I honestly think that they were going to make the Ward fight at some point if Ward stayed at 168 though but they wanted it to be a real super fight. And it wasn't. That's how I see the situation.

On second note with Ward serious inactivity I favor him less and less in the match up. I want to see him against a top fighter to see if hasn't taken a step back. I thought that he didn't look all that great against Smith.

This is the most fair and balanced you've been in a while, shock! Well done.

You'll be on the GGG bandwagon in no time!!

It is expected GGG beats Canelo but if he stopped him earlier than the 6th or put on a sustained beating for 10 rds and then stopped him, even the most ardent GGG detractors should be impressed. Even if it's Canelo's first fight allowing the other man to actually weigh in as a full fledged middleweight (the May '16 tune up fight should be that for him) it would be impressive.

Canelo would be the signature win on GGG's resume due of his high profile but I think Saunders would be the real test @ 160 for him.

Anyone that doesn't want to see Gennady as P4P #1 ATG because he is ,as you say a "Kazakh" is a blatant RACIST!!!
Gennady is the best fighter , fighting at 168 & under , in the world today. To me it doesn't matter if he is from Kazakhstan or Kentucky its all on his abilities in the ring :good

Good! I hope GGG still fights 3 times this year then. I hope he does Saunders, his mando, and then the Superfight with Canelo.
Then I hope he tries his skills in greener pastures (168)
what the heck is that smiley face!?!?! That was supposed to be the number 8. lol

i respectfully disagree that they were wanting to make the ward fight...i think its the exact opposite.....everyone pretty much knew ward was going to lhw when he came back....as im sure k2 did.....ward was willing to squeeze one more at 168 in for a big fight....but i think k2 wants ward to go away....once ward goes full fledged lhw hes there for good and that fight becomes pretty much impossible to make...andi think thats exactly what they wanted...hold out and hope ward goes away

i love hes the best at "168 and under"....but if ward was still hanging around 168 youd be like "ward go fight someone and become relevant.....ggg wants to unify 160 so hes not fighting ward....unifying means something and its important to ggg....ggg should stay at mw and dominate"

please dont claim ggg to be the best in a division he hasnt fought in and ducked a big fight in

It doesn't matter what his detractors say. He is one of the best fighters in the world, until proven otherwise. Canelo is too but GGG has to be given the edge against him. If Canelo could have put this fight off for another 3 years he may have had a decent shot at beating GGG. Not now, though. GGG is still strong and able, though he is moving out of his prime.

Gigi will be tripping over his beard before he grows the ***** to fight somebody.

Dude has to go rounds with people that were ICED by other fighters.

Alfredo Angulo demolished Gabe Rosado in 2 rounds.
Gigi needed 7 rounds and end-swell.

Agustin Silva stopped Ouma in ONE round.
    Lil G needed 10... and again...PLENTY end-swell.

Kofi Jantuah put Marco Antonio Rubio to SLEEP in 30 seconds.:deal
