Suppose Hatton and Alfonso Gomez were to square off at say, 142-143lbs.

    Who would you take?

Call me crazy, but I think Gomez can beat Hatton. He has the skill, toughness, and heart IMHO. WOnder if he can get lower then 147. Think it would be a good move.

If Gomez could make the weight without draining himself massively, he'd win by KO in a good action affair.

Hatton by decision. He is smart and can nullify opponents warkrate and strength using clinches like he did vs Urango. So Hatton by Dec in ugly fight.

gomez isn't good enough to be in the ring with hatton or any other top fighters he's only getting a shot at cotto because he was in the contender

Oh come on..Gomez isn't anywhere near as quick or skilled as Hatton. Yes Hatton lost to Mayweather but that's Mayweather. Let's not get crazy and think Gomez has a chance just because he beats a shot Gatti.
