T'would be an interesting turn around...

The RJJ of today still beats the Mundine of 2005.

maybe not, roy got whooped by calzaghe who like mundine has excellent handspeed, granted his workrate is a lot better and he is more skilled than mundine but the mundine that beat green would be more than a handful for the RJJ of today

    ...Whatever.

Just take into account, Mundine never ever forces the fight.

yeah youre right hes proper ****....

Australia should be happy they have a world class fighter and stop hating your own guy, i agree all of his opponents have varied greatly in class but give him some dues, mundine is no walkover

'Never ever forces the fight' means simply that Mundine sits back and counters and/or beats the opponent to the punch. Against both Siaca and Kessler this routine failed badly. Both were bigger men who kept Mundine on the back foot second guessing their movements. Mundines later round work on the ropes and mixing it with Kessler was brilliant, yet he stategised himself out of the fight to early.

I do not recall a fight where Mundine forced from the offset once he started facing men of his own calibre or better.

Australia have a world classed fighter with a Z grade manager with $$$ signs in his filthy eyes. Yes, plenty of $$ have been made, yet Mundine's name is tarnished forever. DEAL WITH IT.

The complete Mundine/Khoder game is too well suited to this era of boxing, governing bodies, PPV and idiotic titles.

Stylistically, RJJ is still perfectly suited to the Mundine of 2005.

Never ever?.....tend not to agree :D....he was on the front foot against Geale most of the fight...toe to toe style and it made for a great fight.

Most of his first fights he was attacking more than running.

Yes VS Kess and Sacia he did back off and counter however it was good to see him attacking Geale......great fight hope we see number II.

I hope he keeps this new style going in the rest of his fights.

Obviously it enhances his bragging rights especially domestically and in terms of mundine vs green 2. However I can't see mundine publicly saying RJJ is in decline etc as they are mates.

As for the ottke fight (I know I'm starting to sound like Im on his nuts), mundine was winning that fight until the ref decides to dock 2 points for a supposed headbutt and fails to score a clear knockdown. Mundine became pissed off in the corner and lost his composure. Randomly the main event commentators missed the points docking. I however cannot explain how that fraud ottke was able to KO mundine :?

I dont think so, Jones is way past it.

And 2005 is a long time ago in boxing. Mundine is a old man now, Geale beat him and now Choc is scared to rematch him.

I think if Choc took on Green again, Green would almost kill the old bugger by nasty KO.....hey ash?

Not really. RJJ is WAY over the hill.

Danny Green is no world class fighter, never was, never will be. People who actually think he is worth watching on a PPV does not know boxing very well and will only watch him a) because he is an Aussie & b) because they hate Mundine, so the logical choice for them is to root for Green.

Personally I dont know what would happen if Green were to fight Mundine again, nor could I really give a ****. But I think Mundine is really starting to slip now, so it will be closer.

Do you mind telling me what part of Mundines game is "really starting to slip now"

You cant be talking about his speed....he was grease lightening against Geale, or his evasion skills, or his movement, or his willingness to trade toe to toe, or is power...we all know thats the last thing to go :huh...so what part of his game is gone? :bart

I think his speed is slipping, but his movement going backwards is getting better every fight!

I dont think he has ever been willing to trade toe to toe. Maybe last time he did was Solimon 2.

His power? He hasnt knocked anyone out in 3 years... and i dont count Clavero taking a dive from a body shot if my memory is correct.

Evasion skills....Geale and Crazy Kim both knocked him down :D
