Why cancel it all together when the injury wasn't even bad enough for him not to fight 6 weeks later? Froch Ward just got rescheaduled, so did Ortiz Berto but Not Groves-Anderson... oh wait, he's got a World Title 6 weeks after being 'injured' Discusting behaviour towards Anderson, only when this happens to george in the future will he relise...
He was fighting anderson to fill a gap, now he has got a world title shot he couldn't give a crap about his british/commonwealth titles.
Learn from me, better just to take it on the chin and make a mockery of it ESB's posters are too single minded to understand boxing is a business. They still think it's all chocolate rivers and smarty rainbows where everyman fights the best and no one avoids anyone or makes excuses to get better opportunities. In many ways I liken the single mindedness here to the same wrestling fans who frantically defend their great heroes without realizing it's a charade. Kessler is the same unable to fight Steigeltz yet suddenly mere weeks later can fight Green. Povetkin is another. Abraham cherry picking is another. Pavlik's 'injuries', Dirrell.....the list goes on.
I don't think Kenny would have won a decision against Groves, but he'd have given him fits in the process. Is anyone really surprised? It was as predictable as Fury relinquishing.
This. He's already stopped Anderson anyway (whether he looked good or not in the process) and now has the opportunity to fight for a world title. I'd be doing the exact same, so don't blame him.
Groves had ducked a domestic level fight (against an opponent he already stopped) in order to fight for a world title. FOR SHAME!
