Gotta give Sanchez props though for bringing it late in the fight despite looking very doughy. When I saw him during the intros I figured he would gas pretty quick since he's never looked so bad before.

But yes, a GSP fight would be an awful idea. Sanchez poses little to no threat to George.

If the Penn/Fitch fight falls through, maybe we can get:
    Sanchez/Fitch rematch
    Penn/Alves

Winners face off for title shot.

Diego/Fitch wasn't close the first time around. One judge was blind apparently.

Actually it was close, Fitch had control but did very little with it, while Diego was consistently going for sub attempts.

gsp needs to fight a very good standup guy with excelent takedown defence

john howard or anthony johnson seem to be better candidates to mee then another pointless rematch

being from montreal, im a huge gsp fan but i really think on the feet hes still a little bit gunshy
so i would love a fight to prove me wrong

On paper, Alves is the most dangerous opponent for GSP according to that criteria. Alves doesn't have amazing TDD, but it is solid, and GSP dominated him.

alves hasnt looked great lately, the last time he impressed me was against huges
i really dont see him giving trouble to gsp

must be easy for gsp & greg jacskon to create a game plan for this guy

Alves just destroyed John Howard in a very impressive fashion.

i wonder if dan henderson could slim down to 170
i think that could be a good matchup

Daley would have nothing to offer GSP.

Hendo would die if he tried to make it to 170.

i think gsp dosent wanna go inside in a standup war
thats why he jabbed koschek to death
but thats just smart, an inside scrap is always a risk
just look at what hapenned to kampman yesterday

Wow yeah I just went back and watched it and it was a lot closer than I remember. Diego had some great submission attempts off his back. How is he only a brown belt still?
