If Guerrero beats Aydin...

I wanted to c Guerrero against Vic and I personally felt Guerrero would beat vic in an entertaining fight, the surgery and the long time off, lets hope he is still sharp.
Bte I also think Floyd n Vic have no prob making welter n jr middle.

 

If Golden boy have their way, yes. They want this fight, have been trying to generate interest for it since he beat Katsidis. Whether it happens will depend on Floyd and on whether he'll have better options, which he probably will (Ortiz rematch, Pacquiao, Canelo, Khan, Martinez)

The point of fighting Aydin is to build a stronger case for it in order to justify it to the public, with a little help from the WBC.

(How can a lightweight who's not fought in a year and who's not beaten anyone at 147, let alone 140, get chosen to fight for a vacant WBC WW belt ahead of other contenders? WBC is beyond the joke stage now..)

I don't think the Mayweather fight will happen, Mayweather will be a fool for taking it over other fights, however I hope Aydin destroys Guerrero. Guerrero probably merits a payday with what happened to his wife, I'm just sick of set-up **** like this and all these gift titles being handed out. Might aswell watch WWE

 

Guerrero has a lot to prove. He has had a couple of very uninspiring performances. Although Aydin is very limited i will give him full credit if he can win impressively. Not easy jumping up two weight classes and taking on a stong man like Aydin.

 

I don't see how Guerrero can do well at this weight against big guys like Ortiz even Mayweathers bigger nowadays, Guerrero should go to light welter n try and unify there

No. Boxing is about who you have fought, beat, and your performances against said opposition. It sux for Robert that his wife had cancer, but that doesn't mean he has in any way, shape, or form earn a shot against Mayweather

 

You think Jose is going to enforce a mando? Are you on crack? Jose does what makes him money. Mayweather beating the tar out of Guerro doesn't make him anywhere nearly as much as a Khan fight or a Canelo fight.

 

I agree, merit was the wrong word to use. I wrote in my post that I don't think he deserves this fight. Maybe I should've said he deserves some luck in his career, given what happened to his wife, in a big payday. But yeah, to justify it he has to earn it, getting gifted this opportunity solely because Schaefer can pull strings with Sulaiman at the WBC does not fall under that.

 

Guerrero is an ugly mofo. Not even in the same class as mayweather
