If Hagler and Hearns fought that same fight 10 times

I sort of agree with you but:

I am not sure Hagler actually proved it; he proved he could walk through the version of Hearns who could only throw lefts.

Having said that, 1) I don't think Hagler was as hurt as some make out to be when Al Michaels got excited by that early right; and 2) I don't really see Hearns ever putting Hagler to sleep even with both hands functional. But I do think it would have been possible for a two-fisted Hearns to carve up Hagler's cuts worse to the point where a quick-trigger ref like Steele to stop the fight before Hagler got to him.

The forgotten factor here is cuts. Hagler was cut bad enough to have them stop the fight and assess it. It's not impossible he could be cut badly enough for the fight to be stopped.

I stressed it myself. But this is the only way Hearns beats Hagler though.

How could i have missed that. It was overlooked prior to you. Hagler himself knew he was susceptible to cuts, especially latter career.

Indeed. For such a tough guy, Hagler was a profuse bleeder.

Ok, it's late night, and I shouldn't insinuate anything... ;)

It was truly a night where two great fighters, abandoned their skills, and went into a slugfest. So much on the line, and truly a thrill! They fought 12 rounds in three. So sad a rematch didn't happen, when Hearns was more filled out and Hagler was slipping.
