    He
He was REALLY done by then. Already making movies overseas. I remember watching ESPN Top Rank Boxing and seeing Mike Trainer and Pat Petronelli sitting together. Leonard offered Hagler 15mil but it didn't come close to changing his mind. I think Marv beat SRL, but he was finished....Struggling a lot to get off in training and in the fight. Lacked timing/speed/accuracy on counters that was his forte. Extremely tough with a great jab and right hook, but he was DONE. Retired at the right time. Didn't have the motivation to continue and GTF outta dodge.

Defensive fighters with the skill level and natural hand speed that Leonard had usually make their less gifted opponents look both sluggish and clumsy. What would have happened if instead of Leonard Haggler had been facing Hearns again in a rematch on that date. Would he indeed have looked sluggish? Or would he have provided us with a second memorable display of efficient aggressiveness? The thing to keep in mind is that Haggler did not fight like Leonard did and at no point was Haggler frustrated in finding the range whereas in the Leonard fight he was fighting a ghost here one moment and gone the next.

Loses by decision to Kalambay and Nunn. I could see him winning a narrow decision over McCallum though. Beats Barkley.
