Would they each sit atop their respective weight classes? Lets say Duran is at 135-140, Leonard 147, Hearns 147-154, and Hagler 160.

I suppose what i'm asking is if you think there is anyone out there right now who could beat any of these guys in their prime? And what the best match up's would be.

I think Duran would quickly move up in weight due to lack of opposition, Hearns would decapitate Canelo, Leonard beats Floyd & Hagler rules the roost at 160 - would have loved him in there with GGG...

The only one that has any success is Floyd. Duran is my all-time favorite, but I could see Floyd at 135 beating him.

Manny wouldn't beat any of those guys.

I agree with most of what you said until you got to the point when you said Leonard beats Floyd and Hagler.

    Floyd yes, Hagler no.

Hagler vs GGG that's a hard call, but if forced to choose I'd probably pick Hagler, just won't bet a lot of money on it.

Hearns too would beat Floyd, as would Duran, but SRL would likely beat Hearns and I think Duran at his very best bests SRL, since these last two fights are essentially what unfolded when they met.

Floyd doesn't have the power to beat Duran. His is according to Lederman who saw them both up close. Dundee and Gil Clancy also pick Duran over Floyd, especially at 135.

I said I could see him beating Duran, I didn't say he would. Floyd was a much better fighter at 135 than he has ever been at 147.

Duran would have trouble landing. Tho he is the only one that might be able to wear Floyd down with the body shots.

Duran against Manny on the other hand would be a fun fight that sees Manny go out late. :bbb

I meant Leonard would beat Floyd. And Hagler would rule 160. Didn't meant to say Leonard would beat both!

Yes, that would be one of the most entertaining fights around, difference would be Duran's defense and chin, but man o' man would they be exchanging shots.

:goodYes it would. Manny would play right into Duran's strengths. Coming forward, while throwing hard shots.

Watching Duran slip that straight left late and go to the body, then the head, would be a near religious experience. :tired

I didn't say he would. But 135 and 140 was his peak, and he is one of the few that could possibly pull it off.

They would do very well, perhaps even dominate in some cases. But they'd have competition for sure. Welterweight is loaded right now. At middle you have Golovkin and some pretty damn good fighters at super middle and light heavy.. Again they'd likely be the best of the lot, but it wouldn't be a cake walk by any means.

Because of weigh-ins now being almost 2 days before a fight it is tough to figure where they would fit. They used to weigh in morning of fight, come in 3 or 4 pounds heavier at fight time, or even same weight. So would Duran weigh in at 126, and come in next night at 135? If so we have to compare him to current featherweights. Same for the others.
