Hatton's the clear underdog. But the thing is, it wouldn't be truly SHOCKING if he pulled it off. What historic upsets would you compare it with?

It would'nt rank anywhere close to the great upsets of all-time.

He'll Mayweather should be the favorite, but I'm leaning towards a Hatton victory myself!:hey

Nothing historic. Maybe, Barrera vs Hamed or Tarver vs Hopkins. Two top ten p4p fighters fighting can't be a historic upset but it can be a big one.

Im not sure why but Duran vs Leonard came to mind, I guess the smaller, physical fighter coming up and beating the p4p slickster.

But I just cant stomach comparing Hatton to Duran (especially the lightweight version) so I withdraw the comparison.

This is interesting because so many people are giving Hatton no chance, but aren't willing to regard his victory as a monumental upset (which it would be if he had no chance).

If Hatton clearly beat Floyd it would be an upset of huge proportions. It would be way bigger than anything that's been mentioned so far. Bigger than Duran-Leonard, Barrera-Hamed, Tarver-Hopkins, and Hatton-Tszyu. Not Tyson-Douglas big, but much bigger than those and upsets like Lewis-Rahman. I just can't see Hatton winning this unless Floyd shows up completely unfocused, which will not happen. It would definitely be the biggest top level upset of the decade.

The Floyd 2 to 3:1 favorite betting line isn't realistic. Anyone that understands the difference in skill level between the two and the stylistic advantage / weight advantage Floyd has over Hatton would make the line at least 8:1. Anyone betting on Hatton just to win 2x their money right now is a ******.

Who knows maybe Hatton will have to resort to low blows as he did with Tszyu. It would be like Calzaghe beating Kessler so an upset but not a big one.

I'd say it would be comparable to when Lloyd Honeghan beat Donald Curry for the Welterweight title in 1986. Curry was mouthing off before the fight like PBF is now, so ya never know .... !!!

Well I think it would go down on a par with Honeyghan-Curry. Big underdog Brit beats p4p no1. A bigger upset than Hatton-Tszyu imo, Tszyu had a good style for hatton, no one was sure how good he was at the time - (a prospect coming through isn't quite a huge upset), he was past his prime, and inactive. Floyd on the other hand has a great style to beat Hatton, Is in his prime, p4p no1 and is above hattons best(and only real) fighting weight.

    What the **** is this??

Everyone is going on as if Mayweather is some superman who totally dismantles opponents?? WTF?

If Hatton wins yes its an upset but a small one, Mayweather doesnt realy dominate opponents? he should have one defeat on his record, get over this superman status. Mayweather is just over 1/2 to win this fight not exactly upset of the ****ing century odds!!!

I agree, while it would b an upset it would not be a huge one. I wouldn't be suprised at all to see Hatton come out the victor.

Mayweather at the moment has that aura of invincibility that very few fighters have ever had. Jones Jr had it so did Tyson yet they both lost to fighters who were not as highly regarded as Hatton. Jones Jr losing to Griffith and Tyson losing to Douglas are far bigger upsets than Hatton beating Floyd.

Mayweather has looked beatable before and some people seem to forget this due to the avalanche of praise and kudos Mayweather gets on a regular basis. No fighter is invincible. He struggled to beat Castillo the first time round, he didn't look great early on against Judah and even De LaHoya had his moments. While Hatton is without a doubt an underdog and inferior fighter he has undoubted ablity and one well timed punch could change everything.

Hatton is top 10 P4P and a two-weight world champion. I agree it would be an upset but not even of Curry-Honeygan proportions, nevermind Tyson-Douglas.
