If Hatton beats Floyd, what historic upsets would it rank with?

Fair points, but in mentioning the greatest upsets of all time, I am just emphasizing on how short are Hatton's chances to pull the upset and I do wish him the best.

Did or did I not "withdraw the comparison"?

Besides whats so bad about naming Floyd in the same sentence as Leonard?. Floyd is one of, if not, the best fighter/s of his era, no one can doubt that, in 10 years time I dont think there will be a massive gulf between them when remembering their achievements.
    You are just being nostalgic.

'Fair points'? He totally disagrees with your post so you say 'fair points' and then babble the same **** again?

Hatton is a very live underdog, if he wins it will be regarded a mild to middling upset nothing more. Certainly way off one of the greatest upsets of all time.

There may not be a massive difference is acomplishments but theres a massive difference in skills and excitement. I can't see Mayweather being the subject of much nostalga in 10 years....

Hatton is no Duran but Mayweather is no Leonard either....

Major upset, upset of the year without a doubt. So far upset of the year is Taylor/Pavlik in my opinion.

I think he said that Floyd is a clear favourite ( just not overwhelmingly) in this fight and that goes according to that same "****" ( which is just some upsets of the past that I mentioned) and I stand by common sense and my assumption that Hatton's chances are that short.
His fair points were that Hatton is not an underdog as Rahman was against Lewis and Douglas was against Tyson, but I "babble out" that I would be more surprised if Hatton wins than when Douglas and Rahman pulled them out, that is my prerogative... And I still wish Ricky the best - please, GazOC, don't make your feelings and support for Hatton's case and your temper put my coherence openly at stake - this is not the Ricky Hatton Shrine or the British Boxing Fun Club or so I think. Cheers.

It is an upset as monumental as Calzaghe beating Kessler. :!:

This isn't the Hatton haters club either, the guy will go into the fight 3/1 or maybe 4/1, nothing like any of those fights you mentioned and a Hatton win would in no way be comparable to them. He's top 5 P4P going in to the fight, which of those opponents you mentioned were on the P4P lists? Don't try to mask insult to Hatton by saying you wish him all the best, like it really pains you take such a negative attitude to his chances, we both know thats not the case.

And as for you K2Ray, branch out on ESB a bit, there are other topics on here, you're coming across as a one trick pony...

No, I must have missed them. All I can find is a few racist trolling attempts, where the fact that noone else in the thread agrees with you still forces you assume you are correct.....:tired

We are absolutely lost in communication here. I never insulted Hatton in my life and that will not happen so help me God, and it amazes me how wishing him all the best ( since I like Ricky more than I like Floyd, cross my heart and hope to die) can be perceived as following on my negative attitude towards the same... It's not negative at all, Floyd is very hard to hit and has shown enough power and sharpness to hurt Hoya whereas Ricky's face was very marked up against Collazo, that is positive enough to say on how Ricky can get hurt... But since Ricky doesn't need my opinion and neither do you, since the war between americans and british is intensifying into the realms of pure personal confrontation, I will look to moderate my opinions so that I won't do more harm than good. I am not cynical and apologize to you, GazOC.
