he'd have to fight and beat a young title holder/contender who is natural at that weight to qualify for p4p number 1. beating up bloated winky don't cut it.

I don't see any way that the winner of Hatton-Mayweather won't be P4P number one. The winner of Calzaghe-Kessler should also get a P4P spot (some people already have Calzaghe in the top 10).

Depending on how the rest of the year goes - Hatton could move as high as #2/#3 on my list.

Behind Pac-Man, if he wins - and Calzaghe, if he wins.

    2, behind Pacman probably.

Mayweather would be 3 and if Calzaghe beat Kessler, he'd be 4.

I'm a Calzaghe fan but I can't see how people have him so high. The only decent win he has is Lacy and Lacy was never P4P top 10. If Hatton beats Mayweather he'll have a win over the current P4P number 1 and a win over Kostya Tszyu who was P4P number 3 at the time of the fight. I don't see how you can then put any one above him. Having said that, I don't think he will beat Mayweather.

Hatton would be top 3 in my opinion (if he beats PBF)

It would be single greatest shock in my life, I just can't see how Hatton would beat PBF but if he did it would be Hatton's single greatest win and he should retire afterward. Facing any of the other top Welters would surely put him against mega danger of being decapitated. Imagine Hatton fighting Kermit Cintron or Paul Williams  :dead

Hatton vs Cotto would be sweet :yep .....pure war.

but what if hatton beats mayweather and then loses his next fight?
Like Buster did after his fight vs Tyson?

This is quite possible, everyone would be begging for him to fight the winner of Cotto vs Mosely or maybe fight Paul Williams, Kermit Cintron, Margarito.....possibly rematch Collazo (I doubt they would do that) life would be an up hill battle after such a win, but a lucrative one.

If Hatton wins and Pacquiao wins, I will have Pacman 1 and the Hitman 2.
