Yeah he struggled at welter against Collazo and got destroyed by PBF, but Cotto, Margarito? Or does he stay comfortable at LW? But if he does beat Pacman, he surely has to move up.

    He is better off retiring.

Mayweather would want a fight I guess, but he would only get beaten up again. He cant hack it at WW, and LWW is somwhat devoid of a big fight that Hatton (As such an attraction he now is) would bother taking. Though he could see what Tim Bradley does....

Other than that, try and entice one of the LW's up. Ie JMM, or Diaz. He has options I guess.

He has plenty of options, whether he beats Pacquiao or not.

    Winner of JMM vs Diaz
Winner of Bradley vs Holt (preferably Bradley, as he holds a W over Witter)
    Pacquiao rematch
    Nate Campbell
Oscar de la Hoya (don't rule it out)

I would still like to see Hatton vs Cotto, whether at 140 or 147. Ricky has said for as long as I can remember that he has the style to beat him - with Floyd sr in his corner there is no reason why he cannot be successful at 147 (or more so than to date).

I cnat see him doing that though. The guy has been fighting big, big names for big big bucks these last few years, I cant see him slogging it for relatively poor money against Torres, Kotelnik, Bradley and Holt.

Yea my thinking was that he's in that elite of fighters that only fight big fights now. There really arent any big enough players in the LWW division.

    Look at say.....

Ring rankings from 135-147 and see how many BIG names are on there.....

If the £££ was right he WOULD go up to welter.

He should stay at 140. Timothy Bradley would be a good fight for him

I agree. If Pac remains at 140 and wins several title defenses (cleans house), it's quite possible we can begin speaking of Manny as a top 20 ATG.

He should stay at 140. We've already seen that WW was to big for him. And it's not as if there are no fights in and around his weightclass. He can go after another 140 titlist or see if he can get one of the guys at 135 to come up and fight him. Like someone said before, the money's there so he probably will be.

he'd get more adulation of he beats young guys at 140 than going to 147 and losing to a cotto or margarito. if it is money he wants then he must go to 147, but if he wants to be remembered, cleaning house at 140 will be the way to go

if he beats pac by a close descision in a good fight i could see a rematch, if he beats him convincingly the jmm/diaz winner or a pbf rematch.
