I think Hatton would walk through the division, and the top 3 guys would go like this:

Bradley vs. Hatton - Mauling 12 rounds of action. Crisp but infrequent punches from Bradley make the fight a tossup. If its scored in UK Hatton by SD. If its scored in US then Bradely SD.

Maidana vs. Hatton would be a slug fest. Fight of the Year candidate for sure. Likely ends with Maidana winning by KO.

Khan vs. Hatton based on their common opponent Malignaggi (both TKO'ed him in 11th), if Khan could stay outside and box he could win it. If Ricky is able to take the fight inside, he wears Kahn down and KO's him. Hard to call this one.

I like Hatton, and think he was wonderful for the champion he was.

But let's get one thing straight, he was not this 140-beast that many try to make him out to be. He operated in a less talented LWW division, where his smothering tactics on home soil worked well against lesser skilled fighters. Honestly, you take Timothy Bradley right now, put him in a time machine, send him back to this prime Hatton, and I'd be willing to bet my house that he'd hand Hatton his first ever defeat in a 12-round affair. And if you wait a few years and let Khan mature, I'm pretty confident he would do the same too.

Hatton against the more skilled boxers, is very beatable.

No, all the top guy's @ 140 beat him now IMO. Also taking into account he'd have to pretty much kill himself to make the weight.

Vs Khan = Khan TKO (mid rounds)
Vs Bradley = Bradley TKO (late rounds)
Vs Alexander = Alexander UD or late TKO
Vs Maidana = Maidana KO (any round)
Vs Ortiz = Ortiz TKO (mid rounds)
Vs Matthyse = TKO/KO (haven't seen him yet but i hear he's very heavy handed so early/mid rounds)

    :yep

Hatton (Fatton) always ballooned up to 160-170lb and there was
no problem for him to get back to 140lb at the scheduled time.

I'm just interested to hear how do you know he is finished ...
just because he got stopped by Floyd and PAC .... I guess that
isn't a strong proof he is no longer competitive at 140lb where
guys are smaller and not even near the level of PAC or Floyd.

Yes Hatton did always balloon. But I think you can only get away with that for so long and it started to take its toll in his last few fights as he struggled more and more to boil down. I think this was also a contributing factor to his seemingly fading punch resistance. IMO it is not by fluke that fighters who have looked after themselves between fights and had the skill during fights not to take too much punishment such as BHOP can have such lengthy careers(neither of which can be said of Hatton).

I dont think you can read too much into the Pac defeat as to be fair that was a peach of a punch against a fighter at the top of his game. However the PBF defeat and the manner in which he lost was more significant IMO.

Although most of us realised he was well out of his league I expected him to at least impose his style on the fight a bit and make Floyd work for it. But he didnt he was very comfortably beaten in every department then TKO'd.
I doubt the Hatton that beat Tyzu would have been stopped by Mayweather although still comfortably beaten.

The signs were already there for me and the damage had been done, unhealthy living between fights + lack of a good defence during drasticly shortened his career.
