I haven't seen any hate posts (or threads) on Sugar Ray Robinson, yet.

But other than that, I've seen them on every successful boxer, past and present.

Hatton, Pac, Oscar, Floyd, Klits, Calzaghe, Margarito, Cotto, Marciano, Lewis, Ali...

So there will still be negativity towards the hitman, even if he beats the Pacman.

This is really not a fair question because we don't know your definition for "praise he deserves". We have to go a day, week, month without anyone saying something negative about him even if he rapes his mother?

    :D

I think the OP is just saying that, according to many, Pac will beat Hatton with ease. Therefore, if Hatton does beat the P4P #1, then surely it's one hell of an accomplishment? Surely this deserves praise/respect for this act alone?

Theres not as many Hatton huggers as there is other fighters, but Hatton is liked by more fans than the fighters that have more huggers. I think almost everyone likes Hatton, just not too many ppl are huggers of him. "Hugging" and praising someone is two different things, I hope you're not saying he doesnt have enough huggers, are you?

the theory of styles makes fights is more proven if pac wins, not ricky.

if ricky beats pac its more of the naturally bigger, stronger theory.

Of course not. There's nothing worse than 'hugging'.....apart from hating! Hating is far, far worse in my book.

'Hugging' is done by fans of the boxer. It may be blind, delusional, even embarassing but it's borne out of respect (mostly). I can deal with this.

Hating, on the other hand, doesn't really belong in this game. Every man that gets through the ropes deserves respect, no matter what their status or talents are. To me, hating boxers (esp. top level) is a no no. I ain't a fan of many top class boxers and even dislike a few, for one reason or another, but to spout nothing but bile about them is something I would never do. Too many 'fans' on this forum do this (still only a small percentage, I realise) and it is a vulgar habit which lacks the class I've always known does exist in boxing-fan circles. Boxers like Hatton, Pac, Calzaghe, FMJ, etc. should at least be applauded for their accomplishments in the game and not ridiculed at every opportunity, as they are by many.

Yeah, I seen that video too. But honestly, who knows how the fight is gonna play out, therefore I cant be 100% sure that the winner will win becuase of their style.

I believe he should get the respect of all if he pulls it off. He did so well beating Paulie and this fight would propel him as the P4P titlelist. If he would to fight PBF, I think he would do much better due to PBF's inactivety. I still don't see Hatton beating PBF though.
