WOW! some of u guys go to amazing lengths to put hatton down! i didn`t see mayweather or cotto looking to fight tszyu when they were at lww, i didn`t see may weather looking for margarito or cotto or williams, + delahoya fought(more than) a few guys who were arguably either past it or coming up in weight! , hattons always went for the biggest fights ie tszyu, mayweather+paquiao!
if hatton beats manny(which i dought) he deserves to be p4p #1 no excuses!!!

He gets major credit especially if its a close fight.

he's getting what he deserves. if it was less than expected, maybe its just that somebody else deserves it more.

A win against Pac is very respectable.

I respect Hatton anyway, but if he beats Pacquiao which sure will be a tough job then he must get credited as a great fighter by everybody.

Not from me. My problem with Hatton isn't with who he is fighting. It's his style. Ifind the hit and hug thing painfully boring to watch. If he can win with less than 500 clinches per round I would give him props.

i know that, i dont see him outboxing Pac. It would be interesting though how Pac would react to Ricky's style of fighting. If Ricky fails to remove his weakness from the left hook/cross, i see him get desperate and forget Sr's instructions. He just might resort to the wrestling and hugging again. Unless this fight turns out dirty, I'd give Ricky all the props he wants.:good

I don't give a **** how he wins. If he wins, by whatever means, it must go down as a great win. You don't get style points in this game.

I think he's had plenty of praise and success, he's in the group of elite fighters who headline the PPV's and he talks a good game when it comes to promoting fights and selling tickets.

He's the most successful british boxer in the last 5 years ahead of Calzaghe, in history theres only Lennox to compare to.

I know that might sound like a bold statement and some brits might have had longer title reigns but the success is attributed to longevity, money making, Headlined PPV's, recognition, plus his actual pro record.

But more to the point can you imagine Ricky sitting in his mansion, polishing his Ring championship belt, mulling over the pacman fight, after having a string of fights signed to GBP with more money than he'll ever need in his bank account, swigging on a beer watching a TV thats taller than him actually thinking to himself 'WHEN ARE THESE *******S GONNA GIVE ME THE RECOGNITION I DESERVE?'
