He was at his peak then i think Ricky is past that peak,Floyd i think hit his peak against Oscar, I know Floyd would always have beaten hatton but back in 2005 would it have been closer?

I would have said floyd ud 12. I like though how before the fight that warren said he tried to make it back in 05, that to me sounded like sour grapes because he wasn't getting a pay day out of the biggest fight a british fighter have been involved since lewis against tyson.

it a more competitive fight at 140, but Floyd still wins.

At 147 it would have probably been the same, at 140 its a different fight but i still favour FLoyd.

Ricky would've gotten beat worse. Floyd was clearly at his peak at this time. He was faster, and had good power at 140. Hatton gets stopped in round 7

Man are you kidding? Floyd never fought above 130lbs until he was over 25 years old. His most famous win may have been over Oscar, but it wasnt even one of his better performces, let alone his PEAK.

Mayweather was at his peak as a lightweight, at the highest.

To answer the question: no it wouldn't have been closer, Floyd has lost a little speed and sharpness at WW and above, but then he still had all the technical tools and nouse he has now. Accept it man, there is and always was a huge gulf between Hatton and Mayweather.

You obviously never saw Mayweather fight at lightweight, this was quite clearly he worse weight. he was tentative and scared to engage, nearly lost to Castillo aswel, many think he did. his best perfromance was against Ndou, a top ten fighter but really a super feather...

A fighters peak is defined when he ahieves the most and looks the best doing it, he is clearly still at his peak. he may have lost an ounce of speed with the extra poundage but he has definatley gained power.

The reason I give hatton more chance at at 140 is because 140 is his division, the division he has achieved the most at. id still pick PBF to beat him however.

Your very right when you say Ricky was at his peak at this time..

He FOUGHT relentlessly..this means constant forward pressure AND throwing punches at the same time..something he was never able to do in his last 3 fights.

Yeah he was still very gd at forward pressure but without the high punch output it was just inaffective and energy sapping..gd enough to beat the likes of Urango and controversially Collazo..but never in a million years the class of Mayweather.

Back against Kostya, Ricky was at his true peak..something which doesnt last long when you have the diet and lifestyle of The Hitman..

As a Hatton fan i was shouting out for him to get the fight with Floyd after winning the IBF belt..it would have been sensational at 140..he would have had more than just a punchers chance..

The further Hattons career went after this the lesser his chance of beating Floyd rose..

Those extra couple of fights he had, that extra weight, those extra pints down the pub and that extra burger and chips he ate..all added up and resulted in a big fat KO!

Word of warning Hatton..if you are ever goin to fight Witter..dont wait to long..time is running out me old mucker..or has it already run out???? :patsch

Ndou his best performance? Since when is fighting a guy with a record built up against stiffs who never beat a top 20 fighter a fight to be proud of? Either the Hernandez fight, the Hatton fight, or the Corrales fight were his best fights.
