Yep, its all styles but it still leaves Hatton as the top man at 140 and its a dead cert that the usual crew were just PRAYING for Urango to get beaten so they could have a pop at Hatton on the back of it.

How is it possible to use such shockingly poor maths? Urango looks good beating up C class competition therefore on that basis that makes Hatton look better? What am i missing here exactly? His peformance against Urango was garbage. Styles make fights its that simple. Using such poor logic as a reason to give Hatton extra kudos is simply backward.

How on earth does that make any sense? If Urango had lost he would have lost to whom he fought. That has no reflection whatsoever on ANY other peformance vs any other fighter. The lengths that Hatton fans go to to give there boy credit is truly alarming. Urango is nothing more than a decent fringe contender and thats it. Dont make more of it than what it is.

The thread isn't about giving Hatton extra kudos or praise, its about what would have got posted on this forum if Urango HAD N'T of won last night. Theres a big difference.

Urango is nothing of any class. He's the kind of guy that can look good in a weak division and 140 is very limited at the moment. Urango is durable and rugged but theres no spark of top-line boxing skill there, in my opinion.
Hatton's performance against Urango and Collazo were awful but every fighter has bad nights in they're career but because Hatton is 'The' marquee fighter in this country people remember them more. I give him a great chance to beat Manny Pac if he can get those bodyshots going early

So if we follow that rule, how do we pick fights? Guesswork?

hattons win over urango could be the equivalent to cottos 1 over torres

altough urango won, he didnt win it in eye brow raising fashion, theres no doubt that power he carries is going to be a danger for allot of fighters but like some 1 mentioned a more polished fighter with a nice chin perhaps bradley will be a nightmare for him

Why is when dealing with Hatton everything is what if`s, maybe`s, could be, etc? Why create a thread dealing with an eventuality that hasnt happened? Hatton fans have already tried to give there man extra kudos just because Urango had a few KO`s. You tell me how that one works? Id love to hear.:patsch

Hatton 'SCOOLED' Urango ?? have you ever seen a 'Schooling' ?? A true Schooling is what Ray Leonard did to Duran in New Orleans or what Mayweather did to Hatton .. Hatton beat a durable fighter with no skill in Urango but didnt look good doing it .. You must remember that at this point, Ricky was trying to make a big name for himself in the states to set up a big PPV fight. Urango was an opponent that Hatton was supposed to look good against, it was a 'Set-up' fight for a 'big fight' and he looked clumsy and awful whether he won the rounds or not :patsch
