I've been wanting to see this fight happen for a few years now. And now that it's just about official, I'm thrilled. I've picked Floyd from day 1 if this fight were to ever happen, and I'm sticking to that. So to answer the question, I believe Hatton has a chance to beat Floyd, just not a great chance. I think it will be a great fight to watch either way (if Floyd boxes the **** out of him, or Hatton keeps it really competitive). A part of me really wants to see Floyd out box him though, because all of the UK (and others outside) think that this guy (Hatton) is the second coming of Christ. We shall see though, it promises a good fight and an even bigger fight down the line for the winner. And to really answer the question would you rather see your favorite ______ sports team play a team they know they can beat or play a team a lot tougher that you have a greater chance of losing.

MOST FLOYD FANS ARE FULL OF **** adn deep down dont desire to see this fight!!!!

At most?? They are simply tired of trying to defend against why Floyd hasnt fought the top opposition!! Previously? Same crew clinged to "PBF mad two offers' as proof Hatton didnt want it!! When in fact, and as I said all a long, the timing wasnt right due to Frank Warren and an HBO 3 fight deal!! After all the bull**** and excuses?? They have NO CHOICE but to support their HERO!!!

Now PBF may well take his first step towards real legitimacy in this fight but IT WONT BE EASY!!!! Of course, the "crew" has their story and their stuck to it!!!!!!!!!!! Ignoring reality isnt new to them, it's rather a TRADEMARK!!!

I applaud Mayweather for attempting it and only hope that if he wins?? he has the heart, balls, and fortitude of a real ATG to continue his quest against the remaining top opponents!!

No my little NUTHUGGER!!!! For the first time since Castillo, Floyd will face a relevant and prime contender/champion.

Dont forget, that PBF wouldnt face the "other" Champ at 35 being Spadafor because he beat Floyd around the ring like "He stole something":good

Proof is in the pudding and Floyd still doent hav the recipe COMPLETE!!!!

If anything at least this fight will prevent us posting threads in 10 years time asking "who would have won between Hatton and PBF"

I think PBF has to fight Hatton to help secure his legacy, Hatton is undeafted and PBF being the 1st person to beat him will add to the growing list of PBF achievements IMO

Im nbo PBF fan i dont cvare who wins, but i think PBF will beat Hatton by UD or a stoppage in the championship rounds!

Hatton definitely has a chance, it's just the fact that some fans believe their favorite fighter will win no matter who he fights, nothing complicating here if you've followed boxing for long. Too many examples are out there, Trinidad fans thought Hopkins had 0 chance yet they still were happy the fight was on, Klitschko/Lewis is another example and many other fights.

Anyone who dosen't give credit to Floyd for making this fight, be it at 140 or 147 or maybe even a catchweight, is a ****ing moron. Hatton, is a quality figter who looks like he can cause some serious problems for Mayweather. Saying that, i'd favour Mayweather to beat him quite comfortably. Both fighters deserve praise regardless of the outcome. Strangley enough, or considering boxing, not so strange, the loser could be the one to come out with more credit.

UK fans dont understand logic and they will see the truth reign down on December..Floyd is not coming to pot shot.. He wants to expose hatton. Last time floyd had that type of feeling was with Corrales and Gatti. The two fights that got personal. See the results...

Ya know, I've been rather tolerant of you're nipping at the heels for a while now as you nip at most posts with NOTHING RELEVANT ever said.l
Hey Req.. take you're guerilla out to dinner, instead of taking shots at me with you're useless/pathetically devoid of pertinient information posts:good

You know exactly **** about how and why it went down and as I've pointed out Floyd was hardly as "out of shape" as the excuse. Apparently, unless Spadafora is in REHAB, he's not in condition to face Floyd:lol: The point of it all?? Goes beyond Spadafora! It's a supposed P4P super hero running from a supposedly inferior fighter. Then followed up by avoiding all the top opponents at 40 and 47, gee, that's SPECIAL:hey

For the first time since 2002 PBF is making a meaningful fight against a prime opponent and IT'S ABOUT TIME!!! I applaud Floyd for it and hope that it is the BEGINNING of reversing the bull**** cherry picking trend that has marred his career. He has every opportunity to do so at 47 and we'll see how it plays out. Hatton is an appropriate 1st step:good

Hatton will have as many American fans at the event as PBF fans. Floyd isn't a real draw or very popular because is attitude and demeanor is assinine.

As for Corrales and Gatti?? Hatton is far better than both as a fighter. Floyd may win this fight, but I GUARANTEEE that it will look nothing like either of the fights you mentioned. Plus, one might note that Corrales's life was in shamble's around the time Floyd jumped on him and it wasnt a 100% version of Chico.

You can never satisfy people till you do what they want you to do...its crazy how people who will NEVER box at the level of either of these fighters have the audacity to criticize when they both face good opponents. Its nonsense to say you have to fight at a certain weight for ONE fighter because anything higher is a handicap...all ATG's move around in weight to face comp...it should be no different for Hatton..he wants to be the CHAMP he wants the accolades and recognition then fighting at 147 is no problem...his showing wit Collazo was agaisnt a TRUE 147 who was bigger so naturally he struggled because Collazo hits just as hard and can take what Hatton dishes out. PBF is no TRUE 147 and his naturally smaller than Hatton so they fight will be the same at either wieght.

For people using SPARRING as an argument shows how much you really know boxing..sparring is just that sparring...there are too many veriables to judge that fight...and it was said even by the boxing commentators who showed the clip of the session that PBF was in fact out of shape and Spadafora was already training for a fight...you just cant turn those facts down..i did see the session and PBF just took a lot of punishment just took it...after the session he collapsed in the corner right by Spadafora.

Bottom line is people should quit criticizing these fighters so harshly..Hatton beat very good fighters in Zu and Castillo....no matter their age or where they are at in their careers.....i dont care how old they were...he made Zu not even come out and Zu is no punk. He mad Castillo bow down from a body blow...i mean its takes a damn good punch to put Cas down and Hatton did it with a body blow.

Floyd has done a lot whether you like it or not, like who he faced or not..the man is a true 130 or 135 and has fought opposition all the way up to 154..people who hit harder than him and naturally are bigger. He beat the CHAMPS i dont care who they were or how they got it..they were the champs in 5 divisions. A naturally smaller fighter doing this...not an easy task people.

Bottom line is its a great fight...i cant imagine why people discredit eitehr for this fight...it is one of the fights boxing needs...both undefeated both in their primes both p4p the best both are somewhat of a draw both have accomplished a lot and botha re very talented! This will be a great fight and as boxing fans i rather argue over the outcome rather than why is he facing him oh he ducking or he takes easy opponents or he takes least resistance....please both these fighters can lose there are risks in every fight especially when your naturally smaller than someone or naturally slower....you gotta give credit where it is due.
