If Hatton makes a comeback, should he take a warm up match before facing a top guy?

    People saying he's going to come back and face Malignaggi, but is that a good idea? I mean Malignaggi has been active since Hatton's retirement, so it seems like a dumb move for Hatton to face Paulie as his comeback fight. Would it not be better for him to face an easier option to get rid of ring rust?

    Wouldn't mind seeing Mayweather/Hatton for start of 2013. Both Mayweather and Hatton would have been out for a while, so would be interesting!

    If he's planning on coming back for good and make a serious comeback then yea he should. If he's just coming back for one last payday then there's no point.

    I'd like to see hatton v morales

    It wouldn't be interesting at all. Hatton is spent, he never had any A-quality talent and got by purely on physical strength, quality chin and power of will (+corupt refs). I really liked the guy but with such limited potential, he had to stay on a diet and train daily to stay on top. Short arms, below average punching power, akward punches, excessive clinching...lets face it, his personality attracted fans, not his finesse in the ring.

    No because in order to get motivated enough to go through the "monestry" Hatton needs to have a good oponent waiting. Malinaggi is good because Hatton beat him convincingly already but it's still a big fight. Why put Hatton in with a really hungry guy who has little name value that Hatton may not get "up" for? Look what just happend to Ortiz.

    Mind you, there's probably not an ounce of truth to these rumours anyway.

    Thank God.Where can Ricky go after losing to the two biggest names?
    He's achieved far too much to taint it all now.For such a limited fighter to get as far as he did was spectacular.

    i can't believe a comeback has even come up. beat up some local boys and get it out of your system and call it a day.

    Listen to Peril talk rubbish :lol: The angles Hatton used to attack from were imense. One second he'd be infront of you, the next he'd be at your side digging in a body shot. People forget Hatton beat Tyszu, Malinagi (you know that guy who's WBA champ), Urango (you know that guy who beat current IBF champ), Castillo, Maussa, Collazo, Juan Lazcano and only lost to Mayweather and Pacquiao at their very peaks.

    i think Paulie would destroy him, hes comin off a 3 year layoff from a brutal ko and the main thing is he didnt stay in shape at all between that time, he will gas by the 8th round and who knows if his chin will hold up
