Kurt do you hear Cotto calling out Hatton?

    No?

    Then criticise him as well.

This fight has never been on the agenda.

And Cotto CANNOT fight at 140. He looked dead on the scales 2 years ago. Impossible. So give it a rest.

You'll undoubtedly find a new stick to beat Hatton with now Witter has lost but the Cotto thing won't be it. It makes no sense. 'Call out a guy who can't make your weight'....ummmm....OK.... great idea

    Ok Ray.

Do your homework and see how many times I used Witter to beat your bumchum Hatton.

As for calling out guys who cannot make the weight, it did not stop Hatton calling out PBF. Hatton can always go up to 147 agains to face Cotto.

Cheers Dan.:good I've deliberately stayed away from ESB for a couple of days because of this thread. I think I've been fair and argued the point well with the availiable evidence on Hatton at welterweight and Hatton-Cotto at 140/147 but still ended up feeling like I was banging my head against a wall with Kurt. Mind you, he changed the subject from Cotto/ Hattton to Torres/ Pauli and Pauli being a "puff" a bit sharpish so I guess thats as close to a climb down and admitting there are flaws in your argument as you are going get around here...it just drives me mad sometimes when people won't debate sensibly (even if we don't agree!!), I have to take a couple of days "off"!!!;)

Hatton COULD make 147, Cotto can't make 140. Even you must be able to see the difference? Anyhoo, I thought you wanted Cotto to go down to 140 for that £5mil purse?

You keep moving the goalposts...... What do you want? Hatton to fight above his weight? Cotto to fight below his? Hatton not to persue a rematch of the biggest fight of his career? Hatton not to fight his number 1 contender?

Is it so hard to understand that Hatton fights at 140 and would take a very well paid fight at 147 against a smallish Welter in Mayweather but doesn't fancy giving up his belts and campaigning there full time against the bigger guys for smaller purses than he'd get for Mayweather?

Feel free to look for a "new Witter" but Cotto and Torres arn't it.....maybe Kotelnik?

Cotto would have beaten Hatton at 140 and 147.

Bit hard for hatton nut lickers to comprehend this.

Its ok for them to move the goal posts ever half hour but if anyone else does it then they get their frilly knickers in a twist.

Gazoc, so you are saying Hatton only wants to fight PBF for the money ? Thats fine and I hope the rest of the hatton fans understand this and stop having wet dreams about him beating PBF.

Eh? How come when they get challenged on talking such **** and making thngs up, they try and come back with "look, all I'm saying is I don't rate him as a boxer".

BAsically, you are saying now that it isn't that at all, so surely this is proof that people are just using whatever they can get away with at the time to slag the guy?

It is sometimes a little difficult to "comprehend" something that never actually happened.
Most people would favour Cotto to beat Hatton at 147. At 140 Cotto was shaky to say the least, it's far from a sure thing he'd have bested Hatton down there.

And I don't think you'll find too many "Hatton fans" who would favour him to beat PBF. I'm a British boxing fan and I would like to see him fight the best fighter in the world again.

Cotto would get the decision over Hatton at 140, Cotto is just too skilled for Hatton and he has a left hat would trouble Hatton.

 I can assure you that the Hattons and Maligfaggot have some sort of agreement and it was reached several months ago.

Who the hell is "them"? You and I were having a discussion about Hatton-Cotto, you couldn't justify what you were saying, so instead of just admitting it you just called Hatton a "ducker" and changed the subject to Paulie M/ Torres.

I don't think many Hatton fans think he'll beat Mayweather, that shouldn't stop him persuing it for the money while he clocks up defenses at 140. It also doesn't mean he's ducking Cotto at 147 (remember what we were actually talking about before you got <ahem> "sidetracked")

Hatton-Cotto few years back (when Cotto could make 140) would be a genuine 50/50 fight.

70/30 to be fair, Cotto is a level above who is probably reaching a level Hatton couldnt comprehend, we will see when he fights Maragrito.

Yeah Cotto has had some sticky moments in his career, but always showed his class, where with Hatton the only big fight he ever chased after Tszyu was Mayweather and no one else. Hatton could last at 140, but surely Cotto too skilled, too measured for Hatton at any weight, I dont think you will see the beating malignaggi got against Cotto when you see him face Hatton, Malignaggi has a knack of surviving and making a battle of anything.

If we are talking 50-50 I see Hatton/Malignaggi being closer than a Hatton/Cotto fight.
