if Hatton retires today, is he a hall-of-famer?

If he enters in the HOF its simply because he was one of Britains best...which is sadly nowhere near the vincinity of those who are truly worthy of the better seats in the HOF

Lots of ppl dont understand what HOF is. Look at baseball. If we're talking boxing HOF, DLH easily is top 5

or perhaps because he was famous, the hall of fame means nothing

Exactly, the HOF means FAME! Hell, Gatti might make that.

Hatton's only victory against a "great" fighter was the Tzuyu fight, but it was a foul-filled affair against a done 35 year old. He got a gift against Collazo, a good but not elite welterweight. If anyone is paying attention out there, he is only challenging people who are smaller than he is, except for the possibilty of a DeLaHoya fight ,another shot fighter. Forget about any of the elite welterweights. And now he's going to challenge Paquiao, a former flyweight who made his mark at featherweight and superfeatherweight? Hall of Fame? More like hall of shame. Hatton ought to be ashamed of himself.

I say yes just because he was a jr welterweight king for a while. He is undefeated at 140 lbs and won multiple titles.

    biggest wins
    Paulie Malignaggi
    Kosta tzsyu
    Jose Luis Castillo

A gang of idiots on here forget that he's actually a pretty decent fighter too. Hate is a terrible thing.

44-1 record will surely put you in the HOF. that is a pretty bad ass record if you ask me.

as i previously said. HOF. pretty sure. 100 ATG? a bit difficult.

Of course. I really don't even think it's debatable. The Hall of Fame is for boxers that are to be remembered. Now, not only is Hatton an amazingly popular fighter who draws HUGE crowds and fan following... but he is also a top notch boxer, and 2 division World Champion. Of course he's in the Hall of Fame.

If Barry McCguigan made it, so can Hatton. In a perfect world, they both don't make it yet.
