If Hatton was to fight and beat Cotto, would he deserve a rematch with Floyd?

OK, I realise many would say he is very unlikely beat him, but just for the sake of argument say he did.

Would he then be worthy of a rematch with Mayweather without getting totally ridiculed for it?

It's only logical that the fight should be at 147. And even if Hatton doesn't fight Cotto and win . . . a rematch is okay with me.

IMO, anybody that could beat Cotto deserves a shot at PBF. But no more than Cotto deserves his shot at PBF.

styles make fights. Cotto might be able to beat mayweather but lose to hatton. It really wouldnt change the fact that Mayweather would beat Hatton 10/10

No because beatting Cotto wouldnt change what happened in his fight with Floyd. It would just tell us that maybe it wasnt a good thing for Cotto to fight Floyd.

Now with that being said, i think that Cotto would too knock Hatton out at either 140 or 147.

Why is there always talk of a rematch between Hatton-PBF yet PBF-Oscar 2 is a disgrace ? PBF won atleast 9 of the 10 rounds and ****ing brutally KOed Hatton in front of a sold out drunken pro Hatton crowd.

If Hatton was to defeat Cotto at 147 then yes I can see his argument for a rematch being that he defeated the #2 WW...

If Cotto is defeated, then Mayweather can fight anyone he wants. Nobody will be "the" opponent.

Because its had and always will be the fighter that Floyd isnt fighting that has the best shot at beatting. If he was fighting Cotto they would be saying that he is ducking a rematch with Oscar. Its the Never ending story:good

I don't see a problem with them rematching anyways. The fight was competitive enough up until the end. I just don't think that Hatton belongs at 147. I would rather see them rematch at 140. Same with Cotto... I think that Hatton beats Cotto at 140. At 147, Hatton just isn't the same.
