That is why he wants to stay at 140 fighting duds when the real quality and danger men are at welter. If Hatton wanted to prove himself he would have taken one look at the light welter division and thought 'thats ****, I'm gonna fight Marg, Cotto or Williams'.

Hatton is in the best of the rest division being the best of the rest until he can fight a little man in Pac or an old guy in Oscar for the big money.

Castillo had bummed his way though the Afro dude Herman or whatever his name was and Kostya was at the very end of his career and injured.

Hatton went up to 147 to fight the P4P #1 and said that he is willing to go there again in his next fight. So what exactly are you criticizing him for?

If Tszyu was injured pre-fight, why didn't he postpone?

How many top quality prime real LH heavyweights has Calzaghe fought? How many top quality middle weights has Margo fought? Can Cotto fight at 140 or middle? How many top quality middle weights has Paul Williams fought? How many true peak super middle weights, or Light heavyweights has Hopkins beat? Hatton has a strap at 147 which is pretty much as much as any of those guys outside their career weights - with the exception of Cotto who is now too small for 147 but too big to make the weight at 140 now.

Hatton can't beat Willaims or Margo, they just have too many physical advantages. Margo weighed over 160 on fight night for Cotto and Williams is 6 foot 1 and has just had his last fight at middleweight FFS.

140 hasn't been very strong over the last couple if years but its starting to liven up now with Torres, Holt, JMM, Pac, Bradley.....If he can make 140 comforably Hatton shouldn't feel the need to move to welter to prove anything to anybody and he'd would be fool to move up to welter now unless he got offered crazy money for an Oscar fight.

About 5 out the current P4P top ten have achieved little of true note outside their career weight. Take Hopkins for example, he beat Tarver who obviously was done, and also had weight issues and thats the only genuine non middle weight fighter he has ever beat. Calzaghe beat an old gassing Hopkins (a career middle weight) and a totally shot Jones at LH - wow! Cotto beat Pauli at 140, can no longer make weight there, and is losing to big guys at 147! Margo, and Paul Williams have done little of note outside 147. Hatton has a win and a strap at 147, but is a career JMW.

FFS :-( You cannot possibly be "exposed" when fighting the p4p#1.

Ok Hatton can cash in fighting career smaller men like Pac or JMM butnot step up a weight to fight Marg and Cotto? How much does Hatton usually weight on fight night?

No but I doubt JMM or Pac will be the same weight as Hatton although maybe Guzman would if he can get his fat arse in gear again. Hatton is only bothered about his pay cheque and not about really testing himself.

Pac destroyed Diaz at 135, and he is fighting Oscar at 147. If he beats 5ft 10 Oscar, then the weight issue down at 140 (from 147) will be less of a question. Structurally, reach, height etc... Pac and Hatton are about the same.

I doubt Hatton would fight Pac immediately if he loses to Oscar.

Hatton is an inch taller than Pac, gives away two inches in reach. Hatton weighs about 152 come fight night, Pac weighed about 148 in his last fight I think.

Whereas somebody like Williams is 5 inches taller, has a 17 inch reach advantage and just fought at middleweight.

It's clear which are the fairer fights for Hatton.
