So guys - it has been know for a shock to happen - would this be the end of Hatton? or would a make or break Hatton vs Witter be forced? Personnaly I can't see Hatton losing this one or against Malignaggi - but Floyd at 140 is stll a tall order............ and im a Hatton Fan
Not a chance of this happening; as I have mentioned many, many times before, the quite good Lazcano was left battered and bruised in the ring against the then prime Jose Luis Castillo. That ****er has not been the same since the beating he took in the last six rounds of that fight; Castillo punished him brutally. Paulie could give Hatton some problems, but I would expect him to come through down the stretch. Whatever happens, Witter has blown his chance with the loss last weekend.
If Hatton loses, he should retire. However, I expect Hatton will destroy Lazcano. This is a setup fight. Hatton will batter him to set up a big payday Ricky has said he won't fight past 30, and he really doesn't need to. He will make a great boxing analyst for one of the big networks in the US or UK
The plan is Lazcano, Malignaggi at MSG, then a rematch with Floyd. I'm fine with the first two. The third is not a good idea in my opinion.
