If Haye beats Barrett convincingly Saturday night, does he deserve a P4P top 10 spot?

Man, I dont know what kinda boxing you've been watching, but if you know the definition of p4p & watch real boxing, you'll know that Haye doesnt represent the term p4p. Like I said, Haye is not a 12 round fighter, he cant outbox a guy for 12 rounds, not even 1 round. All he can do is throw Hayemakers, thats not outboxing a guy. I'm not talking about amatuer background or pro record, I'm talking about David Haye and what he does in the ring.

Where in this thread have I said that Haye should be made P4P top ten?

Haye can box quite well by the way, you need to watch more of him. I'm not even a fan of the guy particularly but I acknowledge he has some boxing skill. Just because he has power doesn't mean he doesn't have boxing skills.

No, probably not. But I think he deserves to be around the top 10 anyway, due to him conquering the CW division.

I didn't say it did I - and if I gave my view it's that I don't think Haye should be top ten yet.

Anyway, on you saying Haye has no boxing skills so should never make the list; personally I don't see Margo, or Pavlik as particularly more skilled then Haye, and both of those made the top ten - and so did Hatton.

The sad thing is, some Haye fans will actually believe he´s p4p Top 10 if he beats Barrett.Hell, i can see some people on this forum regarding him as an ATG then...
And to answer the question: Hell No!!!

Yeah, because those guys both have fought recently. I agree, he's more skilled than those 2, but he just hasn't fought recently. If he KO's Barrett this weekend, you'll hear about him as well. But going back to Haye, unless he gets a trainier that can teach him what being a boxer really means ala Mayweather Sr., he's never gonna be a real p4p fighter.

I should think he's perhaps kicking around the top 20 somewhere at the moment - having said that he has been pretty inactive.

Surely Haye would (in my opinion should already) be above Williams. Won the WBC/WBA titles by knocking out the top man in the division in France and then defended them by destroying a top 10 cruiser. What has Williams done? Won a very close fight against Margarito and then split two fights with Quintana. How can Williams be above Haye?

A heavyweight has to be pretty ****ing good to be ranked in the P4P Top 10.

I'm not sure any current heavyweights, bar maybe Vitali if he's close to his best, deserve to be in it.

Haye at cruiser, might be Top 15-20.

Only as good as anyone else has to be. Would Pac or Marquez suddenly drop down the list if they moved to heavy? Do we punish Haye for moving up to heavy after winning two of the cruiserweight titles?
