If Haye beats Barrett convincingly Saturday night, does he deserve a P4P top 10 spot?

Yes, because that's the definition of pound for pound - it's an attempt to determine who has the best overall ability removing weight as a consideration.

If Pac or Marquez were naturally heavyweights and had the same ability, they'd be so ****ing good that even accounting for weight, they'd be ranked highly in the p4p rankings.

As a cruiserweight, Haye has proven himself to be the best, but as a heavyweight he's far from proven. Now that he's directly campaigning as a heavyweight, his p4p status must be evaluated against the heavyweights, and as yet he's not proven to be better than the Klitschko's, so can't be Top 10.

    :blabla

My god your a pleb  , Haye completely cleaned up the cruiserweight division, beat everyone there was to beat, but seems to get no respect from idiots like you on here. He cant outbox a guy for a round? :patsch Have you ever seen any of his fights, i think not if thats what you think. Haye is extremely skillfull and is going to be way to quick for most heavyweights and dont forget has knocked out all but 1 of his opponents.

Only doubt is with his chin which will be tested come saturday night.

People like Williams being in the top 10 are a joke, the guy has done nothing :nono

Haye should be in the lower reaches of the top 10 now, based on what he's done at CW. I don't see that a win over Barrett would move him up any further if you didn't already rank him though.

I agree. He has certainly done more than Paul Williams.

Haye should already be close on the back of his work at cruiserweight, however i don't think Barrett really changes anything, but it will definitely give us an insight to what we can expect at HW.

If David wins, some people will talk as if he just beat Goliath, and some will say that he just beat up on a poor malnourished guy forced to live like a POW, and should never be talked about as a contender. My opinion sits somewhere in the middle of those two extremes.

So you think Paul Williams has done a lot more to earn a spot then Haye unifying at Cruiser, and being the man their, then moving up to heavy, and taking out his first opponent in style.

So, he beat Taylor, who beat Hopkins but made the list for his win over Lockett? :rofl If that is true the :rofl is for whoever drew up the list and used that as criteria. Otherwise, it is for you.:yep

He did make the list off the back of that win, that is fact - he entered the top ten after the Locket fight. Anyway, just answer the question.

You are aware of what he did at Cruiser, right?

Nope. If Pavlik made a top 10 P4P list for his fight over Lockett, then the people doing the list need to be taken out and shot, let alone ever be taken seriously again. :yep

He didn't make the list for solely beating Locket, he made the list off a the back of the crushing Victory, and they obviously took into account his wins over Taylor etc. Pavlik made the list after the Locket fight, I remember it because that was the same time they threw Hatton out.
