If Haye beats Barrett convincingly Saturday night, does he deserve a P4P top 10 spot?

 Maybe, but its a bit of a stretch......;)

So Pavlik beats P4P top 10 fighter Taylor, then stops him in his next fight and makes the top 10 P4P himself but then gets dropped from the top 10 for two months until he beats Gary Lockett in his next fight.....? I really can't see how it panned out like that?

He could have easily been dumped off in the space of a few months (as he was hanging on at no 9) with other fighters winning. I'm going with that anyway.:D

He defo' got moved up the list anyway after the Locket win, that's bad enough, he was no 7 in June post Locket.

I wouldn't say top 10 but 15 maybe. And one more thing how can you rank Haye above the Klitschkos? People are sayin' that he cleaned up the CW but the Klits did the same in Heavy. There is no one who can stop them. And untill Haye proves something in HW no one will take him seriously in HW.

Not by a long shot. If he beats Monte with ease and dismantles Wlad via quick K.O. then he should be considered P4P material.

Pound for pound really has nothing to do with boxing skills or specific styles. Its simply a way of rating how effective fighters in different weight divisions are in relation to there achievements at a specific weight. Although i don't think Haye is top 10 material, he isn't far off it. If winning multiple titles and beating top contenders doesn't lend well to your definition of pound for pound, then im not sure what does.

I think if he "dismantles Wlad", I think he should be considered, yes. :D

Yep, the Lockett win moving him up is ridiculous..

I can't see him getting put in the top 10 from beating Taylor in Febuary, staying there until April, getting dumped for 2 months and then getting reinstated after beating Lockett in his next fight though, can you??...:p;)

C'mon, just admit we were both wrong!!!:good

Thats why I primarily started this thread. Personally I don't have Haye as top ten at the moment, but a good win over Barret can't put him a million miles off, and I just wondered how close people have, and will have him.

There is also the question of what has Williams done that is so much more amazing then Haye.

It happens, look at Williams he was out of the list till Monday where he reappeared from nowhere - Williams last win was over Andy Kolle.

I admit its fairly unlikely he dropped off, and that I'm perhaps wrong - but without having the lists in May it's just impossible to say for sure. :D

You'd do very well to find them, I've had a good search - and there's nothing.

If it makes you happy, Gaz, as the scenario is pretty unlikely I will admit that we were both:-D wrong on this occasion. Happy now!

    Hell no!
WK beat more top 10 guys than any other active heavy and he's no where near the P4P list, so why should anyone else get a spot for beating ONE top 10 guy?

Are you talking about The Ring's P4P rankings? They are not the definitive ratings you know. you are free to make your own as is every one else.
