No chance mate. Haye would be a distant #3 should he win (and I hope he does).

Sure, let him be #2 - so when he fights Vitali and gets absolutely decapitated, it's a bigger event.

I think the Haye fans haven't followed Enzo Mac's closely. That is the fight that seemed to make him invincible in their eyes. I guess we can try and pretend Haye ruined him?

Quite honestly, in spite of what it may appear from some of my posts, I think it would be a good thing if Haye could live up to some of the hype. Hell, I'd pick ANYONE against Valuev on principle after the Holyfield 'fight'.

Funny that you didnt mention Holyfield. Because nobody scored this fight for Valuev. Also you didnt mention Chagaev who actually got a decision over Valuev and we know the kind of treatment he received from real fighter Wladimir. But in any case. Valuev scored very controversial decisions over Donald and Ruiz. And we dont judge fighters solely on accomplishments but have eyes and see everything. Valuev is the most limited champ since John Ruiz and the easiest champion to defeat. If Haye beats Valuev he will be below Wladimir and Vitali by a wide margin.

Please don't rate Valuev based on the Holyfield fight. It was clear he did the absolute minimum to win without doing damage to his idol. So champion bonus and home bonus were enough.

Ruiz, Chagaev, Donald: All of them are experienced boxers. If Valuev gets or looses a close decision against them, to me it doesnt matter. So he is clearly a top 5 HW.

Vs. Haye it is a different story. Take my words: Valuev will win this in convincing fashion. Even a TKO is possible if Haye takes the fight lightly.

I rate Valuev at #10, his WBA belt is a joke. He lost to Chagaev and never avenged it. Chagaev steps up and shows balls by fighting Wlad and he gets stripped. LOL. I don't rate Haye at all. A Haye win and he takes Valuev's spot. If he's really impressive, I'd probably move him up to as high as #6. I doubt it though....Reckon Valuev takes out Haye late :yep

Let's be honest. If Haye eek's out a close or split decision then he best go back to cruiser. If he wins convincingly, that would be another story altogether.

Certainly not. It's debatable that Valuev is #3, and even if he was, how do you become the #2 guy ahead of Vitali by beating the #3 guy? He would replace Valuev at #3, at best.

Valuev has better names on his resume than Comeback Vitali, but against those four names he is officially 4-1 - and all four of those wins are by majority or split decision and three of them are very controversial, and the one loss was to the single name he's fought that wasn't well past it. One could argue that he should be 1-4 (with many feeling Evander and Ruiz both times did enough to edge him out) leaving his only "big name" win (relative to Comeback Vitali's wins) over an ancient Larry Donald.

Also, Comeback Vitali hasn't allowed any close scoring controversy, as he's stopped all his victims (all three of whom honestly are not far behind and may actually be better H2H than the old versions of Donald, Holy and Ruiz that Valuev fought despite having less glistening careers overall).
