If Haye beat Vitali, and/or Wlad convincingly would he rank higher, all time, then fellow Brit Calzaghe?

    *Everything else remaining equal*

hell no ... he would have to reign at a weight for the next 10 + years and become undisputed champion of a division before he can claim that ... and he would have to remain undefeated. (he already doesn't compare)

He would have to become undisputed HW champion of the world ... but the division is too deep for him to reign for 10 yrs.

IMO Haye would be above JC because he has faced a consistently higher class of opponent’s, and in a shorter career. Despite JC’s undoubted accomplishments he can not lay claim to defeating the top 2 opponents in 2 different weight divisions. If Haye beats VK, then Haye can.

    Unbeaten is irrelevant.

Haye could easily have built a record like Calzaghe's if he'd wanted too.

Haye has instead gone for the hardest option everytime.

Haye has huge melon like bollocks, Calzaghe has peanut bollocks.

two fights against big but limited guys does not make him better than Calzaghe.

Personally I think there could be a slight case made to rank wins over Mormeck, Wlad, and Vit - unifying at Cruiser, and Heavyweight (within 20 odd fights) as superior to Joe's wins or achievments. Joe would win in the longetivity department but that can be spun the otherway: Haye, former unified Cruiser champ, now challenging for the Heavy title of the world, is on the same number of pro fights as it took Joe to get to fight for his first ever WBO title fight.

I very much doubt Haye will beat either Wlad, or Vit though, nevermind both of them!

What were the top 2 at Cruiserweight?

Because I know for a fact Maccarinelli was not one of them.

This is a bigger challenge than Calzaghe ever undertook.

    No.

Moot point anyway, he will be destroyed.

  13. Right on point. Competition is everything. While Calzaghe is the better fighter he's only a couple notches above Ottke overall. Their records are nearly interchangeable.
