are his days numbered as a champ? Will he see one of the Klitschko brother's taking the title to complete the Klitschko duopoly and dynasty?
Isn't it interesting that all discussions about Haye are always about possible future scenarios, never about his actual fights? Let's see if he actually gets the Valuev fight and let's see if he actually beats him. Sure, based on skill he should win. On the other hand, Valuev probably would have beaten anyone Haye ever faced. He already knocked out Barrett before Haye. Haye has massive athletic talent but is an unpolished fighter, no wonder, he fought only four times in three years.
It would be good for him to return to the neg. table with a belt to offer the Klitschkos. Against Vitali he could ask for as much as 50% although realistically he'd likely get less, more like 40% since the WBA isn't worth much these days. Chagaev already beat Valuev & Wladimir beat him easily. IMO Wlad is the defacto WBA champion anyway. Against Wlad he'd probably get around 30-35% since Wlad has the IBF, WBO & Ring titles on the line. The bottom line is Haye needs the Klitschkos to be legit, the Klitschkos don't need Haye.
If Haye wins the WBA title, Don King will have options on him and see to it that he's protected. He will most likely get walkover mandatories that he can KTFO and look good against, becoming the Kimbo Slice of the boxing world.
