Yes, Wlad's usually very effective jab was not finding the spot on Haye as it does on everyone else. Haye can slip punches amazingly well. You gotta give the guy credit. He didn't run all nite, and was right in front of Wlad on several occasions, but his upperbody movement made him VERY hard to hit. I was very impressed with how slick Haye was, even * in the pocket* right in front of Wlad. Even Wlad pointed out how hard Haye was to hit.:good Like Haye or not, you gotta admit he has some impressive attributes. The guy has power, speed and defensive skills in spades.
assuming haye would fight vitali like he did audley or john ruiz, he would have a chance...i agree.... problem is.....he wont fight like that with a guy that hes scared of...not scared of like a bully...but scared if what would happen if he got hit ... the only 2 guys he fought like that was wlad and valuev...vitali would be # 3 ..if he signed to fight a chagaev or povetkin, he would go balls out trying to knock their head off..... but vitali is too big in daves eyes and risk is much more than his reward
Do Gayetards get a lobotomy after every conjob he does on them? After the Valuev,Fraudley and Wladimir performances and they still think he has the tools to beat Vitali.I pity the fools.
I counted it to three real power shots, while I had Haye landing two clean rights, without Wlad seeming affected by them. Wlads defence was so good that night it was weird.
I don't think I could take having to listen to Haye and his fans again for another 6 months. I wouldn't be particularly interested in the fight, I look at what fighters actually do in the ring and not what they claim they will do, and on that count Haye just isn't compelling. I might buy it on a slow saturday if it was priced the same as the Adamek fight (around 5 euros where I live).
I don't want to see Faye fight again, but if Vitali vs Faye happens , it will be close UD for Vitali.
I wonder how many times I have to say this: Haye used LATERAL movement all night - coupled with headmovement, that's how you neutralize a jab! BUT it's only worth something if you actually transition to attack. If you don't do that, you won't be vulnerable, but you won't be dangerous either. This is why Haye's defense doesn't count for all that much in my eyes. It's just not great defense if you can't use it to attack.
Was about to say how easy it is to to be a defensive wiz if you don't mount any offense whatsoever. Lets see how elusive Haye is when he actually throws punches.
Vitali would splay Haye's face and fracture his skull. Wlad likes to let his jab do it's job and toss the right when he thinks it might be there. He lets everything come to him, which is why Haye was able to stand in front and not do **** with his "elusive movement and skilled reflexes". (Which don't mean **** if you don't hit your opponent or wear him down) Vitali comes forward, engages to the head and body, and creates opportunities rather than waits for them. If Haye were to attempt that hands down stand in front of him ****, Vitali will come forward and let lose. Haye's mistake will be thinking his speed will negate Vit's awkward angles. Vitali likes to follow his opponents heads down with his rights and lefts and doesn't worry about getting off balance like Wlad. Wlad wouldn't commit, Vitali will. Haye doesn't have the power to make him pay for it though. The differences in the bros styles and tactics are night and day. In theory, Haye should do better against Vitali, in reality, Vitali will make sure he smashes Haye's face to pieces. And thats not getting into the odd psychological thing Vitali has on Haye.
David "sleeping in the" Haye... should never be offered a top fight again. I'm a true MMA fan and am now starting to question the intelligence of you boxing fans.
