All the talk here on ESB and probably around the Boxing world is Vitali will destroy David Haye. If this happens and Haye look's bad will he still get his fight with Wlad?
If Haye loses he will probably have to start over again. Beat some top contender's before he gets another shot at any title.
Yes, and this is why Haye isn't worried about being beaten in this fight. Haye wants to make money with both Klitschkos, and he knows Vitali is likely to retire soon, so he's jumping to the head of the line with the elder of the two fighting brothers. I think it's a brilliant move, business-wise. Haye's already lost, so there is no "'O' Mystique" issue for him. His angle is to get attention and make fights people want to see. In that vein, he's taking the fight with Vitali (as long as Vitali has everything worked out with the WBC, or whatever). It doesn't matter if Haye gets KO'd as long as he makes a good promotion and fight. He's smart, and he realizes this and is ahead of the game compared to other fighters who are trying to carefully matchmake so as to never be beaten. Haye's in the game to make $$$, have fun and get famous. He knows how to do all three of these things, and I think he believes that it doesn't matter if he gets beaten by Vitali Klitschko because he knows he can easily stir the pot and get more big fights later. I agree with him, and as much as he annoys me, I like him and admire his business savvy as far as his career goes.
I disagree, They'll claim Haye isn't worthy of a Wladimir fight because Vitali beat him, ect. That's the whole point of Vitali cockblocking in the first place.
Haye is unproven as heavyweight. He should fight someone like Arreola for a start and let The Champions do their business.
Course he should. And JMM should have fought Amir Khan before being allowed to take on Casamayor, Kelly Pavlik should have had to take on Tavoris Cloud before fighting Bernard Hopkins and, if Manny Pacquiao wants Hatton he needs to go through Lamont Peterson first...
