Any round that Audley survived would have only given him enough confidence to try and survive the next round.

I thought Audley actually survived quite well once the onslaught started. He was intelligently defending himself and managed to avoid being starched with one big clean shot. When he finally went down it was mainly for respite, bravely got up and when the ref stepped in it wasn't like he was out on his feet, he knew how and why he had been stopped.

Wlad would not have been able to get through that onslaught any better than Audley didn't. If Haye puts Wlad down, or properly hurts him, it's over. Wlads powers of recovery seem to be non existant...

I thought it was a shame that the fight was stopped when it was, we got about 30 seconds of action in that fight, Audley wasn't that badly hurt, should of let it go on.

Yeah, one minute the ref is warning them to fight and as soon as the leather starts flying he stops it.

I think they should only use refs that can make their minds up about what they want...

    :rofl:rofl:rofl

    So true.

Audley fell victim to the unwritten rule by some ref's, "if you look like your in danger of getting stopped, then i'm going to stop the fight"

Look how hurt Monte Barrett looked in the 3rd round....the ref that was in the ring on November13th.....would of stopped this fight in the 3rd round.

I'm not saying Audley Harrison could of won, but the ref did a terrible job. Harrison could of held on and wrestled David Haye, or took another knee to survive.

I can't stand **** bag refs, who stop the fight straight away.

Yeah, personally I think Audley would have been stopped properly if it carried on, but no-one can say that for sure, he wasn't given the chance to try get out of it imo.

Imagine if that ref had been in charge of the Thriller in manilla.

Very true. Haye is actually only good at finishing a lot of opponents because the first shot or shots that dropped them had them so hurt that they were ready to go with even grazing shots in the follow up.

He is actually a poor finisher in terms of technique and what is desirable at the top level. He just goes wild and crowds his own work meaning he reduces the power of his shots because he is not getting full extension on them and is winging away up close.

He did it with Enzo and eventually one landed, he totally ****ed his chance of a 1st round win over Ruiz by rushing in like a headless chicken. Look at Lennox Lewis against Golota. Cooly walks over, keeps the right distance to allow him to throw the right hand with maximum effect and to look for openings and pick his shots.

Haye just rushes and swings and leaves himself (as you said) wide open for a counter punch.

Only one of these two can KO the other with one punch.

    And it's not Haye.

"If" Haye would get into a ring with Vlad, but he will not. If Vitali or Vlad offered Haye 100% Haye would still refuse.
