If he loses then he should retire ... because it would be a very difficult journey back to the top. Holyfield made the best of his HW start ... winning a title ... if Haye strikes out on the first try then he's going to the bottom of the barrel. You need a title to get another shot at a championship, unless you're a stepping stone. You see what happened to Brock ...
Well, it all depends on how he loses. If he loses like everyone else does, which is by getting beaten up while running from Wlad, then he should not retire but consider maybe going back down to cruiser. If he gets annihilated (the way I think he will), then he should retire because no matter what, nobody will ever respect him again and he won't be able to draw a crowd or following like he has. He would basically have to wait for Wlad to retire and then try again at winning a belt.
May opt to go into modelling or something.Returning to cruiser is pointless and would also be difficult for him to make the limit
has he made enough money to be able to completely retire after this fight, i know he recieved a decent payday for fighting enzo, but i doubt they money from mormek was huge, more about the belts i imagine for haye, and i know he will recieve good money for fighting wlad but, im sure he has high outgoing costs with his promotion company, living in both cyprus and england, plus paying trainers etc also im sure he has a 5 fight deal with the 02 arena and setanta, plus a deal with golden boy, would he be able to just walk out of those?
No, he will get brutally ktfo, and the try to pick himself up @ cruiser weight..If he sticks around @ heavy long, he will be denigrated to a Gatekeeper..@ cruiser he can be Undisputed..In 3-4 years when the speed goes, he will be a chinny guy with power, and at that point even adamek could ktfo haye
He could clean out the domestic scene I know FW offered him some good money some time ago. That would almost be starting from scratch going the British/EBU route just like he did at cruiserweight.Personally I think he is better than that regardless of the outcome of the Wlad fight
If he cant make 200 anymore(which he still can) then yes, its retirement time based on the rest of my statement
No he can't,he killed himself to make weight for Mormeck after he bulked up for Bonin. He killed himself to make weight for Maccarinelli. He himself said he was at 70% in his last fights at CW because of the weight loss.
