If Haye wins, Wladamir MUST Retire

Haye is definitely getting underrated on this forum..
If Wlad losses... He would still have the ability to pick up another reign as a champion, the question is if he would still have the motivation.. I believe he has everything he needs financially and he has (despite what haters say) accomplished enough to become an ATG..

 

well at the division there is no mobility like at welter or middle where you can simply move up

if wlad loses to haye in a way that leaves no doubt that haye wins the rematch wlad might as well

after reigning so long why would he wanna be beltless in another mans shadow

Agreed, his ATG ranking would take a big dip though, as one of the main minuses of his resume is the apparent weakness of this era. Not saying it's true, but you know that's how it would be remembered

 

I agree, any loss at this point against what is perceived by many as a very weak era would seriously damage his ATG standing. Critics would say he couldn't hack it during Lewis' era and lost to fringe contenders then and say the loss in this weaker era against the first serious threat he has faced would only solidify the belief that he was only so dominant because his opposition as a champion was so weak. In terms of legacy this is a must win fight for Wlad.

I think the best thing for him is to come back again, one thing about wlad, he has never quit, he was worth million when he lost to sanders, he came back, brewster loss, he still was loaded with cash, an he came back. If the wlad does not win, i think the worst thing for his legacy he could do is retire, will a loss tarnish it, Hell yes, but quiting after it will make it worst, if hayes does win i don't think it would be anything less then lets say a sanders loss, a rejustment an victory could easly be at hand, sanders people refused to give wlad a rematch. Wlad is a ATG, he rarley loses a round, but as all human mistakes could be made, but this is a person who could still build on a legacy with a loss.
Hayes has a puncher chance, i think peters was tougherthreat in 2005, IMO. But this could be in wlads top 5 of tough test, an i have niether sanders or brewster in the top 5, just for the reason i did not have them as a threat going into the fight.

Wlad losing would be a major blow to his H2H match-ups vs ATG's. Wlad cannot afford to lose this one and I'll be embarrassed for him IF he does fail because this fight is suppose to be one his defining fights of his legacy.

 

What if Haye wins, faces Vitali, loses to Vitali and then Vitali has all the belts and Haye retires, nobody else out there is guna beat Vitali anytime soon so how does Vlad get his belts back?

Though personally i dont see any of that happening.

 

Then there will probably be some shitty loophole where Vitali vacates the belts he won from Haye and little brother gets them back. :twisted:
