If Al Haymon continues to perpetuate the series of fraudulent abominable mismatches usually involving some form of a catchweight I'm very concerned something very bad is going to happen, involving one of the hapless and severely overmatched opponents that he continues to put in harm's way. People tend to forget that Boxing is a very violent and dangerous sport and if a fighter attacks someone in their private life they can be charged with assault with a deadly weapon because their educated fists are considered deadly weapons. Many times fighters have died in the ring when they are evenly matched take Kovalev and Simakov for example, Simakov was no easy walk in the park for Kovalev his only loss came at the hands of then Light Heavyweight contender Vasily Lepikhin and that was a SD, so the fact that that match ended in tragedy as have many others like Benn-McClellan, proves that even top contenders can gravely harm one other, and the heavy hands of a vastly superior fighter can cause irrevocable damage or claim a life of a fighter who shouldn't even be in the ring with some of these monstrous punching guys.

So the idea of putting an inexperienced light hitting fighter most have never heard of mostly due to their inexperience at the top level of the sport in the same ring with an hard hitting top level opponent is so irresponsible that it should almost be considered an actionable offense if something happened to one of these poor guys. I know the fighters know what they are getting into when they sign the contract, most people wouldn't turn down a career high payday even if their life may be at risk, because they lie to themselves and try convince themselves that they actually have a shot at victory, all that notwithstanding.... why are the sanctioning bodies even allowing many of these clear and blatant mismatches to even take place in the first place. In many cases Haymon is dragging guys up two weight divisions against vicious punchers like Salka against Garcia just to get a highlight reel KO and build the lack of confidence his fighter is experiencing by way of victimizing someone who never had a chance, that match was almost bordering on a sanctioned assault. What PBC has been doing in an effort to build up the reputations of their fighters to the unwary casual fans watching their programs is repulsive, most of the new viewers don't know how good the opponents are... most of them have never heard on the name fighter either, so all they see is a vicious KO and the franchise fighter celebrating they don't understand the lopsided weighted in the favor of the Haymon guy nature of the fight they just witnessed was, they just watch it to be entertained by a KO. And Al Haymon knows this and he is playing to the lowest common denominator the general audiences bloodlust and their craving for KO's, which I'm generally not opposed to....if the fight involved two fighters who are relatively close in terms of skillsets. But when it basically involves paid victims to show up and be viciously KO'd it starts looking like a snuff film which turns my stomach.

I was actually physically sickened by some of the outcomes of these matches which were never even remotely competitive and I'm not sure why the sanctioning bodies even allowed some of them to take place at all. I figured I'd enlighten some of you who may not have been aware of a few of the Boxing atrocities that Haymon carried out over the past few days, they really need to be brought to light, his mismatching has gotten to the point where its dangerous and he's going to get someone killed or the very least irrevocably hurt.

    Beginning on the 9/11 card.
Stevenson Vs Karpency, very dangerous matchup Karpency was complaining of nausea and a headache after being dropped twice the first round against Fonfara and was dropped by Murat, he trains with his father and brothers and doesn't even bring in actual sparring real partners only some local Pennsylvania fighters, he never stood a chance he was no hoper that was a disgraceful voluntary defense. He's lucky he didn't get badly injured against a murderous puncher like Stevenson.

Dillon Carman Vs Razor Ruddock, Haymon put this 51 old man in there in a show in Canada against a guy with 9 wins 8 by KO who happened to be a Canadian knowing full well what the probable outcome would be, just to give the Canadian fans a chance to see one of their own stop a fighter who used to be Razor Ruddock, well he gave them what they wanted Ruddock was knocked out cold and was lucky it wasn't worse.

Prichard Colon vs Vivian Harris, Colon who is a very puncher brutally KO'd Harris for the 9th time in his career who was brought in on only a few days notice, the KO was hard to watch and could have had disastrous consequences.

Less than 24hrs later on 9/12
Browne Vs. Campillo, Campillo brought in to be the sacrificial lamb once again against Browne who's a pretty big puncher, it wouldn't have been so bad other than the fact that Campillo was just viciously beaten down and savagely KO'd by Beterbiev and that came following the beating and KO loss he received from Kovalev and a another KO loss to Fonfara, Campillo was KO'd as expected and in the first round. It was incredibly sad to watch.

Charlo Vs K9 Bundrage, was the most legit match of the mismatches however in reality K9 who most think of as a contender never had a chance, most of his wins have come against light punchers and he's suffered two KO losses in the past, and he was brought in to feed a known name to a guy who should be campaigning at MW who's 6 inches taller and the KO artist of the Charlo family, K9 was dropped hard 4 times and luckily not badly hurt in another mismatch.

And the worse one of all came with Quillin Vs. Zerafa, Zerafa who's never been close to the level of someone like Quillin and actually moonlights as a male model was brought in as an easy KO and he was almost killed, I was having flashbacks of Kovalev vs Simakov at the way he was so nastily knocked out, it brought back memories of the Boxing tragedies which have occurred in the past, he slide down the ropes and slumped down into unconsciousness that looked scarily close to someone slipping into a coma he had to be stretchered out and taken to the hospital, but he was responding thankfully by the time he got to the hospital, but no real updates on the severity of his condition have been released. Even though I was really hoping Zerafa would prove to be an okay challenge due to him going the distance with Magomedov I was very wrong and what made matters worse was the fact that a big puncher like Quillin came in as a Cruiserweight at 183 pounds with a 15 pound weight advantage over an opponent with a very low KO ratio.

I don't like feeling guilty when watching the sport I love, but on Friday night and Saturday afternoon, I felt disgusted....see for yourself.

This is real life and these are real people putting their lives on the line please try to remember that.

I generally agree and have had similar thoughts, starting with Salka.

But I do disagree with inclusion of K9, he was a belt holder and the job of any contender should be to fight the belt holder. Even if we think we know the outcome, K9 was a titleist and veteran of many 12 rounders so it wasnt a mismatch that fits the rest where we have world level guys in with local gym level guys.

Campillo was dragged in again? Seriously, fighting Sergey then Artur back to back is gonna damage anybodys career, at the very least. That poor guy needs to retire, unless paradoxically being poor is the reason he doesnt retire :?

It was repulsive and they clearly feel no remorse look at the name of the video PBC posted themselves on Youtube. Like they're pleased with the outcome.

He was so sad he looked embarrassed to be there and its seems like he just showed up for a paycheck, yet still he took some very nasty shots for as long as the match lasted.

I saw that, they ran a replay of it on the Showtime pre-show it was sickening as well, but thankfully his KO wasn't quite as brutal as some of them.

Now lets look at the bigger picture.
Juan Francisco Estrada is fighting Hernan Marquez and Takashi Miura fought Billy Dib.

On most part, you are right with whats wrong with PBC but this is going on on a global scale.

I definitely don't agree with them either. It seems Haymon just wants to feed the casual fans blood and dominations, to try and increase ratings. But this is the livelihood for some men. It's not right to match people so poorly. It's straight up dangerous and something bad IS going to happen, eventually. There needs to somehow, some way, be some kind of duty of care over fighters enforced on managers and promoters.

J'Leon Love vs a guy i know, who had never had an amatuer or pro fight in his life. Thankfully he was alright but what sort of a match up was this supposed to be?? Might have well dragged a guy off the street, given him some shorts and gloves and threw him in (which is pretty much exactly what they did)

They're not quite as egregious an example but they're bordering on unacceptable as well, after all Segura KO'd Marquez and Estrada already beat him so this match is kind of pointless, Miura Dib was pretty bad too.
