This thread is not about rather or not he used loaded gloves or if he did was he aware of it. If he is suspended should Antonio Margarito be ranked. The Ring has him at #4 at Welterweight. In my opinion a suspended boxer should be treated like a retired boxer when it comes to rankings, and should not be ranked intell reinstated. This is not a judgment of inoence or gult. However if a boxer is not acative due to choice or punishment he should not be ranked. When a boxer is reinstated or anounces his intention to return from retirement he should be ranked acordingly to his ability/acomplishments as compared to everyone else who is active in his devison.
Exactly. He's suspended, pending a comeback. therefore he should still be ranked. Obviously he can still be moved about in the shuffle of fights at WW, but since he lost the fight he was suspended over this shouldn't have too much of a bearing. If he's banned indefinitely, then yes he should be removed. If he retired, then yes he should be removed. But suspension? No. In boxing suspension denotes a period of punishment (like a jail term). Once he has served that punishment he is free to box. He shouldn't receive extra punishment for imagined crimes (like the Cotto or Lujan fights - this was never proved). Once he comes back he should just start off as he was before the Mosley fight (the bout in question).
