This would be a step too far, UK needs these type of fights. If Hearn sticks it on at 4 am on a DAZN show stateside the Fans need to take a stand against all Matchroom products.

It doesn't appear Eddie cares about his Sky deal anymore judging by the poor uk cards and feeding a lot of his british fighters to prop up his US cards. I expect a Matchroom/DAZN streaming service to be introduced in the UK soon. I don't know where that leaves sky as Warren appears happy with BT.

Whilst I understand not cutting your nose spite your face and missing what could be a great fight, I get the OP point

Matchroom cards have taken a big hit and people can see its the DAZN deal that's a huge factor in it

To be fair, I was looking at the up and coming fights and possible UK match ups and feel a bit underwhelmed this year. Eddie's attention has definetly shifted to the US, even Joshua is fighting in the US next. As much as I like seeing huge fights in Vegas or MCG, personally I don't want to have to stay up late every time a good fight is on.

Not worth worrying about. If the US market is booming then expect the inevitable.

Let SKY and Adam Smith fight this fight :)

The regular saturday night matchroom shows require basically a popular world title holder who isn't PPV level just yet as a headline. There is literally no one in the matchroom stable who meets that requirement. Dillian Whyte, Callum Smith and AJ are PPV only, Brook still fancies himself as PPV too, there is a massive drop off after that. Lawrence Okolie is the closest but he hasn't proven to be consistently entertaining to be popular. I mean after those guys it is probably Dave Allen who draws the most viewers.

Can't really blame them if DAZN are paying enough to make those fights without resorting to PPVs.

Hopefully it should free up the Sky budget to put the prospects in good fights over here. The budget should be available to have less mismatches for the likes of Buatsi, Kelly etc...

Sky need to put their hands in their pocket and start paying for these big fights.

British title fights would do me mate. Hearn clearly doesn’t give a **** about British boxing fans as he likes to make out in his interviews. Nothing happening over here so fans have to stay up or watch replays of their favourite fighters. Surely Sky need to be reassessing this Hearn deal. I know boxing is not top of their agenda but they’d get viewing figures if they even put some COMPETATIVE domestic cards on. Not prospects against no hopers.

Hearn is under immense pressure on DAZN - he will 100% be putting this fight on over there if it gets made IMO. On this occasion, It doesn’t particularly bother me whether it’s over there or here personally.

Sky sports must be preparing to drop Hearn at this point.

He is now completely focused on DAZN and neglecting the sh1t out of the U.K. sky sports commitments.

This is a good fight but I don’t see Johnson being any better than smith at landing enough on Bivol to win the fight. Don’t care where the fight is based but clearly sky sports U.K. needs to wake up.

You understand the point though I’m sure. People feel Matchroom is neglecting UK cards in order to bolster US ones and ultimately leaving UK fans worse off.

There’s no doubt about it, it’s happening. Eddie is padding US shows with British fighters to the detriment of UK fans.

BUT it’s only the start. You’ve seen Frank Warren effectively lose Fury too, let’s not forget that Saunders had to go over to fight Lemieux, he also lost purse bids and was going over to fight Andrade. Unless SKY AND BT put their hands in their pockets we’re gona lose more and more of our top fighters.
