Easy, he bombs him out. Hearns was kind of susceptible to that.

I think he could have potentially beaten all of those guys, but every single one of them would have been dangerous.

Nunn was never a Bomber out type fighter.

No, a Nunn vs. Hearns fight is a counterpunching long fight. I think Hearns does well that situation. He did worse when guys got on the inside and swarmed him, as he was susceptible to later in his career. He seemed to like to bang it out..

I just don't think Hearns could outbang any of those guys other than Kalambay, and maybe Toney.

Hearns had a lot of tough fights at this point Kalambay? Hearns would have had to use his jab against since he could not have knocked him out early. To me it is up to Tommy. Use the jab and eek by a decision. He is not going to land much on Kalambay. I think Kalambay vs. Hearns goes 12. Nunn I think goes 12 also and Duran, I think Tommy stops Duran in bout 5 or 6 rounds by TKO this time. Not as dramatic as 5 years earlier. Jackson is tough.. Whoever lands first in that one. Tommy would outbox Julian I think. That is a knockout no matter what. Eubank? He was a tough guy stylewise for Hearns. Toney? James would probably be too fresh for Tommy at that point, and McCallum. I always thought Tommy would beat Mike at 154 by decision, but Tommy got more worn out after Hagler stopped him and Mike was more prime even though he was older. Pickem in that fight. I think Mike gets a little overrating now.

The key to Hearns at this point in his career is not the right hand but the jab. If he uses that like he did against Hill and keeps the fights slower pace for him to counterpunch he does well.. He could win many of those fights if he just stayed away from his desire to brawl and go for it.

Maybe so, but I still think Nunn was a big puncher, even if the results weren't there.

I didn't mean that Hearns would literally outbang Kalambay, but that in a brawl, that Hearns would. I think Toney would beat Hearns. Again, I was just saying that I think Hearns was the harder hitter, p4p at least.

That doesn't matter, every fight can be ended by the perfect punch, but there's no way Nunn will going in there to bang out Hearns.

Both might land a one punch ko, but when you look at styles it's clearly going to be a boxing chess match. Hearns with his range and jab will negate Nunn with his speed and movement.

I guess judging by Nunn's fight w/ Barkley that seems to be the case.

Did you not know? Hearns was only prime for one year.

I belive Nunn would have beat Tommy back then. And if not, at some point Julian Jackson or Benn.
