[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jiveytfg2F0[/ame] :rofl:rofl:rofl:roflnutnut If anyone can post a more scary punchbag session than this I'll crawl across the ring and :asskiss - would be fun to fill this thread with loads more like this though - fire away!!
i have heard that heavy bags once talked but are now so punch drunk they have become vegetables. its sad really
It is hard to compare here, because the weight of the heavy bag might vary somewhat. Foreman looks awsome, but we could tell more if Sadler was not holding the bag. Jack Dempsey looked awsome on the heavy bag. It moved a lot more than when Tyson his it but we might not be comparing like for like. Louis could bounce it about a fair bit too. One person who should be listened to on this is John Garfield. He actualy saw Marciano, Liston and Foreman hit the heavyy bag.
Cheers Mightyd40, thats a good one - what impresses me with Tyson is his rythm and and speed - his power on the bag isn't quite as sledgehammer like as Foreman but I think here maybe Tyson was working more on practicing his deliver of certain combinations rather simply loading up and hammering each punch as hard as he could go - would be interesting to see if aby show up with Tyson litterally punching the bag as hard as he possibly can?? How are you Janitor?? Yeah the other three that sprung to mind were 2 bits I've seen of Dempsey knocking a heavy bag around as though it weighs about an ounce - and one of Liston on the bag too - if anyone can find them before I do put them up to and anyone else that springs to mind - does anyone have anything of say Earnie Shavers hitting the bag or anyone else??
agreed, watching both i am more impressed with the power of foreman on the bag than i am with tyson in these particular videos anyway. but its quite clear to see that foreman is focusing on destroying the bag while tyson is practicing technique. either way, i wouldnt want to be either bag. :good
Foreman looks scary hitting that bag. I hate how he was painted as the bad guy in his fight with Ali. Foreman was a nicer guy, the villain should have been the (similarly sized) trash talking Ali who turned the people against big George There is a poster on here that claims to have seen Wlad Klitschko 'fold a heavy bad in two' with a left hook
His speed and combos are impressive. The power isn't comparable to me when watching Foreman and then watching Tyson. Both impressive in different ways.
